Lois' CRAZY 100 day challenge!!!!!!!

Post your weight loss successes or failures here...:)

Postby hawaiiwhatnot » September 6th, 2004, 11:29 am

Barry,

Congratulations on your victory and pursuing the course without straying. It's mind over matter, and I'm learning it will be that way every single day. It get easier when you see the pounds falling off. For me, that feeling of joy outweighs the momentary pleasures of a chocolate bar.

Lois,

Know whatcha mean about doing some poses now that were physically impossible before. I can really tell how much lighter my body is when I'm lifting my legs to the ceiling from the prone position. I'm a much littlier ball when rolled up now, and can balance so much easier! I so look forward to your posts every day. What a great idea this thread is.

Off with the pounds! :whip: Happy Holiday All!

Hi, Everyone ~

Doesn't it feel really good to KNOW that you CAN indeedy doo just Say No to Grub or actually pass food by even when others are actively engaged in scarfage? That in itself is very empowering, it just shows to go you that YOU DO have self-control, that you ARE able to make good healthy choices and that you DO NOT have to cave to the flaves or cave in to peer pressure.

File away these good positive feelings and positive self thoughts so that when you reach transition and maintenace you will be able to remember this, to be empowered and grow your confidence and then you will be able to CONTINUE to make the same good healthy choices that will last a life time. You will be able to maintain your weight loss and become a Lifer!

Just Saying NO to grub

Postby SusannaRosannaDanna » September 7th, 2004, 3:49 pm

Nancy--in reading what you said above about just saying NO to grub...over the holiday weekend, I ate the first "non medifast white packet" foods I've had to deal with (other than my allowed extras). Saturday, we hurried out to run some errands but ran into the unexpected and were out during the time we were supposed to eat. hubby and i talked it over and decided that we could be "good" if we went to our favorite steakhouse.
AND WE DID! LOL it really felt great to order a grilled chicken salad and scrape the cheese, eggs and croutons off and give them to the kids. The salad was fantastic and it did feel good to CHEW!
Monday, we were invited to a big fish fry at my mothers :bib: (well, not so much "invited" as "commanded" LOL) and those are a huge deal down South..so I found a recipe for baking catfish and made up a bowl of that before we went over. Mom had steamed some broccoli, and left the big jug of cheese sauce ont he side!
So hubby and I enjoyed the function and had our baked fish and steamed broccoli--we were no worse for wear and actually it was painless to make that choice--and talk about feeling great about myself today!
Anyway, reading your post made me feel the need to pat myself on the back publicly! LOL

Oh, Susanna ~

You made great choices! Better yet, you feel good that you were in control!

The first time I ate non-packets I kept biting my cheek  - evidently my fangs forgot what to do with lumpy food! Hah!

Keep on keeping on, My Thinning Friends!

Day Four

Postby Bseaton » September 8th, 2004, 8:53 am

Well i made through another day and i feel pretty good. There has been ample food around me due to me working in a food warehouse shipping around 20,000 cases a night. Seems like there is always someone eating something. My Wife works as a manager in a convience store and is given all the chips and snack cakes from vendors that are about to expire. But i am strong and it is more important to me to get my body back than to eat the chips or snack cakes even though they do look good sometimes. I will post again tomorrow.

Yeah, Hawaii - a century of days! :bounce: You have done a fantastic job - 42 pounds of flabbage: outta there and offa you!

 Just think...some where some one is scarfing French fries, burgers, Biggie-sized drinks, pizza and cheesecake and are adding a load of lard to their hips, lips and hearts and you, my slenderizing slip of a little lady, are on your way to your goal with every shake and with every exercise routine that you complete. Let's see now...which choice is the better deal?

Lois, what a gal! You made the challenge and are well on your way to a healthier and happier new you. 21 days = a habit and you are doing just great - see, Folks? Hawaii and Lois are sticking to the program. Lois made a committment and is stickin' to it, the flab is not. I stuck to the program for 7 months. While we ARE indeedy doo very special and awesome ladies, we are no more special than YOU.

You can do it, too!

Grab your Shaker Jar and a bottle of water and join us in the journey of thinning! :goteam:

Today is my 100th day on MF

Interesting Camille, today 9/8/04 marks my 1-year mark ago that I began Medifast. 365 days ago my Mom and I took the shaker plunge... Absolutely one of the BEST decisions in my life, bar NONE.

So here's to you.

I will draft a 1-year thoughts post soon!!

A year in the life....

Here's to the celebrations at hand for hanging tough and doing it all a day at a time. For me, this is day 52 of shakes only, for 25 pounds worth of flab offa me. The time goes quickly and I've really had no discomfort beyond what one would expect -- and drinking fluids always fixes that until time for the next shake. I salute all of you on the journey.
