DAY 74

Hello, Everyone!

YIKES it's been DAYS since I posted!!!!!!

There are three things that account for my absence....

Feeling crummy (I'm getting better!)

My ANCIENT laptop computer that is making scary noises and freezing up whenever I sit down to post :hammer:

And EXTREME business!!!! It is the end of three couses I've been teaching (so I have papers and projects to grade) PLUS two of my kids have back-to-back birthdays....Caleb turned 10 yesterday and Essie is 15 today!!!! My parents are coming tomorrow to visit and celebrate the birthdays....PLUS we're carving pumpkins and doing the halloween thing!!!!

Whew! I'm getting tired just WRITING about my life, let alone LIVING it!!!!

So...all is well, and I'm still doin' my yoga and shakin' away!

I'll post again on Monday.....

love and hugs,

Lois

DAY 76 8) 8) 8)

Hello, my friends!

Thanks so much for your words of support. If it were not for this wonderful forum of friends, there is NO WAY I would have made it this far!!!!!!!!!

I am feeling much better, and hope to get out walking tomorrow. I seem to be having muscle spasms in my back, and they are aggravated somehow by my monthly cycle!!!!!!! In the meantime, the yoga has been a Godsend!

......This weekend was WILD!!!!!! Two birthdays (for my kids) and Halloween, all back-to-back!!!!!! The kids had SOOOooooo much fun, though, and it was WOONDERFUL to spend the day with my parents yesterday. They are so pleased about my weight loss. My dad said I look like a teenager again ;)

I have decided that it it is NOT helpful me to focus on the numbers on the scale at this point, as the weight may come off a bit more slowly as I get closer to "goal".......so I will begin a "100DC Challenge Part Three" thread tomorrow......BUT no new numbers until I reach the end on DAY 100.

Part of my learning process, here, is not to become over-focused and obsessive about my weight, exercise, etc. It's the "flip side" of my disease, and always swings around to bite me in the end. Avoiding extremes is a challenge for me....but with help from God and others, I am learning 8)

love and hugs to all,

Lois

Yea Lois!! Keep on rockin girl! You gotta do what's right for you about the weigh in thing... sounds like it might be a good idea to wait if you're worried about getting "caught up in the numbers!" 'Cause you know what a great job your doing! I've started walking and/or doing body stretching each day too now, following your excellent example!
