First Week Success!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Postby eddieHoustonTX » May 15th, 2005, 7:32 am

Well, I made it through my first week on MF! Thanks to ME, Bonnie, Nancy and all of you wonderful MFers here on the forum!!!

I started at 323 last week and I am now at 309! I just about fell off the scale this morning when I saw that, in fact I had to go into my guest bathroom and check on the scale there because I though the scale in my room was faulty!!!! But it's true.

Thanks!!! I look forward to many more weeks like this!!!!!!

Happy Sunday to all! Congratulations to all who have posted thus far - what fantastic stats!
Angelia, what a wonderful day this is for you reaching the 30 pound club!
Everyone here is such an inspiration to me.
I lost 1.6 pounds this week...as I said last week I keep thinking of the story of the tortoise and the hare - slow, but sure, I will cross the finish line! I originally started Medifast in March of 2003 @ 193. I restarted MF on March 5, 2005 @ 167.9. I am now down 26.1 pounds with 16.8 to goal!!! I would like to be at 125 by July 16 - my youngest son's wedding. That is certainly doable!!! With all of your encouragement through good times and bad, I can't go wrong!

Thank you all for your honesty in posting...it means so very much.

Can't wait to catch up with everyone else later today....Isn't it wonderful up here on cloud nine!!!

Good Morning all.

Looks like everyone is doing well...........that's so awesome!!! Congrats to all.

Donna -- WOWEEEEEEEE.........employee of the year, that is fantastic!

It's been a slow week for me, but I know exactly why, so that part is good. Two things I'm sure caused a big sidetrack this week......Wed. night I went to "jazz night" at a local pizza place. Now mind you I had no trouble at all staying away from the pizza, but as I sat there studying I couldn't keep my hands off the peanuts. You know, eat the peanuts, throw the shells on the floor....it's my favorite thing about this place. I haven't been in there for years, but my son was the guest artist with the high school jazz band he used to be in, and since I haven't heard him play in at least 3 years I just had to go. I should have stayed busy roaming around visiting with everyone, but like I said, I had my books and was studying away (Locke, Hobbes and Rousseau really aren't the best company at a pizza parlor ;) ). So the peanuts, and the several grande lattes this week (non-fat and sugar-free of course, but still added calories), too many nights of only 5 or 6 hours sleep for me.

Oh well...........one more week to finals and things should settle down.... that is until summer school starts! I honestly don't think I'm going to know what to do with myself when I am finally done with school!!

Still.......I lost almost a pound this week, but I really don't track fractions, so I'm going to leave my ticker and will make a big change next week :)

Everyone have a great week and keep up the great work!!! I know you are all feeling so much better physically and emotionally, just like me. Little setbacks like I had this week not even going to bother me, and I hope you all can feel the same if you have weeks like I had this week. We're all working so hard and doing so well, what's a few peanut shells on the floor, right?

Have a great week all !!!

Wow.......where do I start........what a fantastic week for everyone. If it is OK with everyone I am just going to send out ONE BIG CONGRATULATIONS!!!!! I didn't get much sleep last night and I am one who requires at least 8 hours. My son's 8th grade dance and after party all went well, but MOM is feeling the woes of being old.

I am down 3.2# for the week. I was very excited when I say that this morning. I just feel so good.......sleepy :snooze: but good.

Again.....congratulations to everyone.

good morning

Postby Diet Diva » May 15th, 2005, 8:07 am

Good morning to all of you!

Yipee! Congrats to all. It's so exciting to see how great things are going for this medifast crew. I'm down 5lbs for the past 2weeks--or 2.5 this week. It seems easier to track my average every couple of weeks... anyway it's pretty exciting to see what medifast is doing for all of us.
Keep it up...and hang in there--we CAN DO THIS!

Have a great day.

Good grief people! It ain't even 11a on the east coast and we're already second paging??

First, thanks to Christi and her magic wand, I'm down another three & hit the 60 lb club! And thanks to Linda for noticing :)

Angelia - congrats on hitting that 30 lb club!! I think it's a huuuuuuuge milestone!

Lynne - with weeks like that, you'll be there soon, too!!!

Donna - 4.5 to goal!!! Just a couple moreweeks & we will be doing the goal weight happy dance. AND employee of the year! nice!

Lee ann - I've learned you can't control how MF works or set a lbs lost by X date deadline. All you can do is stick to the program every day. I sure hope you get off 30 by your vacation but if you don't, you'll still be looking fantastic & flying high.

Walks262. 4.5?!?! Wooohooooooo! That's amazing! I think everyone pretty much knows I'm a daily weigher. I graph & chart all the relevant data. Then again, I'm a GEEK. Anyways, keep those clown pants for a good reminder of where you don't want to be again!

Heidi - just keep going. my heart goes out to you.

Spunky & Seaside - welcome back!

Mary - coongrats again! your enthusiasm is contagious!

ED - Amazing, huh??? The next weeks won't be as fast, but I sense a serious transformation about to occur!! Good work on making it through those first tough days.

Joyce - 1.6 sounds like a good chunk for a tortoise!!

Monkeymom - take the banana and put it on the floor verrry slowwwwly.
(this makes absolutely no sense but i thought of monkeys and bananas and everything pretty much went downhill from there). keep going to under 200! Once you're there, I PROMISE you won't want to stop until you're very safely away from 200!

Geez - it toook so long that it's now 10 after 11! Have a good week everyone, and happy shopping!! I believe I may have the scary task of contemplating a bathing suit purchase this week... eeeeeeek!

Hello All...

You may not remember me because I haven't posted since April 17th...Yes, I know I have been neglecting the forums---SHAME ON ME! At my last post I had just entered the 20# club and I was ecstatic at my achievement.

Today I would like to report that I have lost an additional 17 pounds, which brings me to a total of 37 pounds lost since I began on March 13th.

Thank you for your support and understanding throughout this process and I promise to be more attentive in the future.

Congratulations to all of you losers!

Wow, congrats to all you folks! Geez, it's not even 9 a.m. for me and we're well into the second page -- I gotta move to the east coast! LOL

Sigh. Nuthin' this week. Now this is week 4 of my second hundred days (post the Hawaii trip), and I remember that at week 4 and 5 in the first hundred days I had 0.5 losses each of those weeks, and then it picked up again with a 4 pound loss after that. So my head knows that, but I admit I was hoping it wouldn't happen this time.

Still I can't complain (except that bk has beat me into the 60 pound club! Congrats, cream pie!). I'm down 15 pounds from what I was the day I re-started after the Hawaii trip, and my measurements are moving (I did them today, even though I know we'll start in a couple of weeks officially, because I needed to know they are changing), and I am down 33.5 inches total (bust, waist, hips, arm, thigh, calf) since I started, so I'll take it.

Have a great week, all!

WOW!! Lots of exciting posts in the roll call so far today.

Christi is quite the cheerleader isn't she? How can anyone fail with her in their corner?? Christi......You not only are doing a fantastic job yourself in losing weight, but you also do a great job in keeping everyone upbeat and positive.

Jamaica D.......WOO HOO on winning EMPLOYEE OF THE YEAR!!! Congratulations!! Who said owning your own business doesn't have it's perks?? hehe..... AND...you are going to look just fantastic on the Jamaican beaches. You are just about there....

Vicki (monkeymom).......How the heck can you study and listen to jazz and eat peanuts all at the same time. You are most definately a multi-tasker. Heidi is in the same boat with all the studying and also a ton of overtime at work along with it. I don't know how the two of you keep it all together.........my hat is off to you.

Eddie........Fantastic first week. The first week is usually an eye opener and you have a hard time believing what the scale is telling you. Succeeding weeks are normally not quite as dramatic........so don't be disappointed if you don't have double digit losses each week. You will settle in and lose at a nice steady rate.

Sleepy Donica.........who is probably taking a nap after her stint at the 8th grade dance and after party.........great job this week!

Finally, to my wife Heidi (hal1031)........you are doing GREAT! 37 pounds....I know you just love the fact that you caught me in total weight loss. Keep going.........you know I am behind you! ........and .......the more weight you lose........the more fun it is to BE behind you.....

As for me........since being on maintenance.......I have become paranoid about what I eat. I do NOT want to gain anything back. I have been trying to maintain my goal weight of 210 pounds, but this morning, I weighed 206 pounds. That is a loss of four pounds in the past two weeks that I hadn't planned on. Sooner or later I will find the proper balance......I will have to add calories to compensate for the exercise I am doing.

Once again........GREAT JOB TO ALL!!

Dean

Christy,
I haven't taken the time to come back and respond to any postings the last couple of weeks because just too darn busy with school. :( But I was sitting at the computer doing some research and decided to pop back in here before I go hybernate in my bedroom again, and saw your post. Thanks so much, you are such a dolly!!

I was actually hoping I might make it to onderland this week, but I'm just not going to get excited about not doing as well as I had hoped. I've been at this since Jan. 28, and have consistantly done well and rarely fudged at all, so I am not going to make an issue of it at all.

As far as the good times.......girl they are already rollin :) I spent WAY too much money on new clothes a couple of weeks ago, and it's been so much fun wearing things that actually "fit" my body instead of tents to try and skim over all the bumps!! I know you know that feeling.

I just had to take a minute to tell you that your enthusiasm is such a blessing to EVERYONE on this board! I wish I had more time to keep up with everyone and respond, etc., but I see your posts all the time and they are just so uplifting and joyful, and I know everyone benefits from your fantastic attitude.........I just had to share that with you today.

Now off to the books...........see you guys next week.......have a great one!
