Postby BerkshireGrl » May 1st, 2005, 8:35 am

Hiya all!

Today is a damp, cloudy day out in Western Mass. but the grass is getting greener and the flowers are loving it. Me too! YEAY THE SNOW IS GONE! Heheheh, sometimes I wonder why I live in New England.

So, my trip to Boston was a lot of fun. I crammed in a ton of activity in 3 days with my two old college buddies. We tromped all over the city, must've walked about 3 hours a day. Saw "Sin City" (as a graphic artist, I loved the visuals, but oy, very very violent. Definitely not a kiddy movie!)... ooo'ed and ahhh'ed at the beautiful homes on Beacon Hill, strolled along the Charles River, watched someone sculling, lots of people jogging, flower gardens galore, amorous duck activity ;) Went out to a few fancy restuarants, saw "I Am My Own Wife", had some Guinesss in an Irish pub (Kinsale), and really enjoyed getting a chance to catch up with my friends.

Speaking o' the restaurants, ahem... I have packed on a few pounds. Walking helped, but I am up 10 pounds. I have gotten right back on my faithful Medifast and losing it!

Though to be accurate, Unca Tim, I need to be in the 10# Club with my recent pudge-a-thon, not the 20#. In a few days, I'm hoping to be back in the Andrew Jackson line

Everyone here is doing a great job! I am so impressed by your determination and your success! I am going to be posting more, getting back into the swing of things, and reconnecting with my MF "family" :)

Good luck to all still to post, and congrats to those who have lost, stayed the same or are still on board! We can do it!

Good morning! I don't have a lot of time this morning, because we are on our way out the door to Renaissance Faire, but I wanted to check in. I am down 3.0 today from last week, to 216 (yesterday it was 215.5; I should've stayed with that  ). I'm very happy! I'm thinking I could see ONEderland by Memorial Day! Or, if not, certainly by mid-June.

I'm looking forward to this week -- I don't start my new job until Friday, so I have a few days to do some other things, and I am SO looking forward to it.

I'll check in again tonight when we get home. Congrats to all you losers out there!

What a wonderful week for everyone...especially those returning to Medifast...new beginnings definitely are full of hope and promise!

I am down .2 pound which upset me at first...but figuring out I have lost 23.8 pounds in 8 weeks, my average is 2.97 pounds!!! And that is what will keep me going this week! Next week should be a bigger loss.

Congratulations to everyone...so glad to see you, Berkshire Girl, been thinking about you....you are definitely in the right place, both physically and mentally now. ;)

I will keep reading these posts and shaking away...

Have a wonderful week, everyone...

I'm in a rush this morning, too, but wanted to pop in and say congrats to you guys-- great job, losers! Berk, just wanted to welcome you back and tell ya that I managed to gain 10 pounds in 4 days while eating lots of salty foods and downin' some margaritas last week... but I'm happy to report that it took me only 3 days to get right back down to goal-- I made it back to 124.8 on Wed morning, and was still at 125.3 (close enough! ;) ) yesterday. I'm going to start weighing myself only once a week, on Saturdays, because my eating habits do change on the weekends and I don't need to go thru the agony of seeing myself gain a few pounds of water weight when I know it wil be gone by mid-week anyhow... I'm sure your extra flabbage will flee your bod in record time, too.

Great shakin, everyone!

Hey there everyone........looks like another successful week of flab flinging has just occurred for most of you. GREAT JOB!!

As for me, last Wednesday, I hit my goal of 210, which was a four pound loss since last roll call. Heidi said that if I go further I will look too skinny and wimpy.............so, I have decided to join Rae and give maintenance a shot.

I started maintenance on Thursday, sticking to my water and shakes for the most part but having an oriental salad (with chicken) for dinner. The next day, I also had some noodle soup and even a few crackers for lunch, and another oriental salad for dinner.

Still haven't had any pizza, or milk or regular Coke's or any of the other things I said I would have when I went on maintenance. I guess there is that fear factor since Rae scared me with the results of her trip to the Mexican Restaurant.

My weight has indeed fluctuated by a pound or two depending on what I ate the last few days. If I see that it has gone up on my morning weigh in, I take steps to lose it quickly. I have also been doing a lot of yard work with some heavy lifting and a lot of activity. This has helped.

After dinner the other night, I felt kind of full...........so Heidi and I went for a really brisk walk around the neighborhood.........with some very steep hills.......all in all, we walked about 4 miles, but the hills we walked up made it even more intense.

I am very satisfied with the Medifast plan. I lost 35 pounds in only 7 weeks........(yes, it is easier for men.......I know  )

I will be watching myself closely for the rest of the month. One of the main reasons I lost the weight was to look good for my daughter's wedding on May 21. It is ABSOLUTELY necessary for me to hold the line during my maintenance for the next several weeks. Of course, I will be totally over indulging at the wedding reception...........but heck, I paid for the darn reception.......RIGHT??? haha........

Oh this is SOOOO cool!!! (actually better than COOL!) I'm so thrilled I found all you LOSERS!!! hehe!!

It's really great to read about everyone's "flab flingin"!! (as Dean so eloquently stated!!)

My weigh in day has actually been Thursdays, so I'm not sure how to measure my loss for today, but I'm down to 188.5, so that's 1.5 since Thursday, but I guess I'll call it my week's loss, so I can get on everyone else's schedule. Anyway, that's 25.5 pounds gone in a little over 6 weeks...can't complain at all!!

And thanks (Unca Tim?? - maybe) for already adding me to the 20# club...WOW - you're efficient!! :-P

I just want to say CONGRATULATIONS to EVERYONE for all your losses this week! You guys are all doing soooo good!!

YIPPEE..........WOOHAA..............YEAH...............HOORAH........ :yay:

Dean congrats on hitting your goal!!! If you mentioned it before I missed it... A 4 mile walk is great. I walked today but not nearly that much. I walked 1.3 miles last week and FELT it but I am so so out of shape. Even though I wear good athletic shoes my feet start to show signs of wear and tear when I walk over a mile. As a diabetic, I have to watch out for my feet. Once we settle in our new house, I will join a gym nearby so I can use equipment that is easy on the feet. For now, the walks are ok. Again, congrats on goal!

Congratulations to everyone!

Sooooooo many losers!! It's GREAT! :goteam:

I'm down 1 pound. Was really hoping for more. This has been a really slow month. I am expecting to get in gear this new month. I'm shooting for 10 pounds - I've had my quick loss, the consistent loss and the plateau - it's time to go back to the quick loss!!

Have a super week everyone!!
