This week

Postby Laramedifast » April 24th, 2005, 5:35 am

Good morning to all! I can't believe I'm waking up to snow and winter storm warnings on April 24 in western Pennsylvania! Ah well, spring will be all that much sweeter!

I have to admit that I have been really playing with my eating this past week. I've had some real struggles trying to figure out how to combine intense exercise with MF. I continue to use some of my supplements but not exclusively. I have added in some other soy-based products in an effort to keep my calories above where they need to be. I was in "no-man's land" for 2 weeks or more which was totally frustrating. ANyway, for whatever reason, I am down to 178 today which is down 2 pounds from my lowest and 3 pounds from last week. I'm now consistently running/walking 3 miles at least every other day and I think that makes a difference. I guess my total lost so far is 23 pounds...

Congrats to all the other losers, especially those arriving in new clubs this week!

Lara

Hey Lara that's great! You sound like a person with a "healthy child" busting at the seems from inside to be free again! Congratulations on your loss and also on your determination to make this plan work for YOU! You are an individual with individual needs and concerns and you are adapting in a healthy way to continue your loss and still enjoy your freedom of movement and exercise. FABULOUS! I wish you continued success on this journey. I will be watching with a keen eye to see how this goes for you!

Thanks!

Postby Laramedifast » April 24th, 2005, 5:54 am

Thanks, Christi!
You are always so very encouraging and inspirational. Congrats on your 20#club!!

I used to be a thin exercising thing after my last bout with weight loss. When I was in my mid-late 20s I lost 60 pounds and started running and biking, etc. Then I hurt my back and gradually, after marriage I put it all back on plus another 10-20 pounds! I think it's more painful to be overweight after you've been thin and know how the world treats you differently. Anyway, I do very much desire to be that active, confident, happy old me as a thinner, healthier person. Thanks again for your kind words!! You keep up the good work, too! You're doing great as well!!

Good Morning Everyone!
We have some great losers here this morning!!
Angelia, 23 pounds is SUPER!!! Way to go!
ljm, Congrats on another 2 pounds gone!! YEAH!!
Christi, WOOHOOOOOOO!! Welcome to the 20 pound club girl!! WAY TO
GO!!!!!!!!!
Seaside, AWESOME!!!!!! 5 pounds in FANTASTIC!! You will be in the 10 pound club before you know it!!
Lara, You seem to be getting a handle on your excellent workout ethics and balancing your caloric and nutrional needs!! Great JOB!!!
Well as for me I had a tough week. I was pretty much unable or just not
interested in eating until the last 2 days after my oral surgery.
I did finally start eating some soft foods on Thursday. My dr was scolding me because I wouldn't eat anything that wasn't on my plan and I just wasn't taking in enough calories. So he told me to drink Ensure to get enough nutrition and I gained 3 pounds :x :x :x :x
BUT I will get back to eating on plan this week at least while at home.
I will take a shake with me to work for my break and when home for lunch I can have my soup. My problem is just not eating the lean and green, which is a challenge right now and leaves me quite short on calories. I know this will get easier as I adjust to my new smile and I will be in that 100 pound club soon!
Have a GREAT week Medifasting All!

Yeah Mary that Ensure is CHOC full of calories and nutrition. We try very hard to get my grandmother to drink them daily because she won't eat :x I'm sure in a weeks time you'll see a big improvement. I wouldn't even sweat this right now. You had an unusual experience requiring unusual eating patterns. Onward and upward with the healing and then back on plan and let the ATTACK BEGIN!! One day we'll stop calling you SHRINKING and just call you SHRUNK! hehehehehehe

Please add your totals to my New Medifast Grand Post:
http://www.makemethinner.com/forum/view ... 1244#21244

Here we can keep track of all NEW losses from last Sunday until the first day of summer and try to get to a 1000lbs. together. Remember, add only NEW losses since last Sunday.

Angelia - 23lb. total! How are those new/old clothes fitting?!

ljm - another 6 sticks o' butter! Yay!

Christi - A big losin' week for you baby!

Seaside - Yahoo!! FIVE pounds! Gotta love weeks like this!

Lara - 2 lbs. down and makin' the plan your own! Congrats on findig a way to modify it and fit in all that exercise!

Mary - You'll be shakin' and slurpin' 24/7 before you know it!

Donica - we're stickin' right together, I slowed this week too. I bet we have a big loss in store for us next week!

For me, it was a stall all week. I broke my own rule and got on the scale almost every day and I'm only down 0.2#.

Scratch that! It's actually 0.6#! I accidentally drank a half a glass of diet dr. pepper before getting on the scales... I just reweighed and now it's a slightly bigger loss!

Thanks Christi! You always know how to cheer a girl up! And week 4 HAS to be better than this week 3 right? Right? My new aim now is to have more weeks that are OVER 0.6# than under. At that rate I'd only lose a little over 2.5#/month... Now THAT would be discouraging!
