Sunday Morning Roll Call April 3. 2005

Postby bikipatra » April 3rd, 2005, 4:36 am

I am down 4 pounds this week! My "week" was a short one. I started on Wednesday. This was my first week back after quitting the program two weeks ago after a 5 day try. The 5 day try was great. I lost 6 pounds the first day and 9 pounds in all which I kept off until I started back Wednesday. Which brings me to the point that I gained a pound between yesterday and today~! I was 220 yesterday, down 5 pounds for the week, and now I am 221! When I was off the MF plan for two weeks I ate pizza and donuts and didn't gain an ounce :x ! I am totally trusting the process though and see why some people advise against daily weigh-ins! As my excuse I will say that I have not been to bed yet. I have been up since Saturday. I suffer from bouts with insomnia. So all night long I was drinking water and diet coke so my body never had time to rest for my 6am weigh in! Oh well, enough of my neurotic excuse making...I hope everyone else did well this week!

How much have I lost this week??

Postby LilMsTexas » April 3rd, 2005, 5:15 am

Good morning Biki and congratulations on being down 4 lbs this week!!! I have just finished my first month and have only lost over 4 lbs once, and that was on my very first week :)

Now to me....how much have I lost this week? It's hard to say...
Last Sunday I had lost .4 :o . But...by the next morning I had lost another 2.2 for a total of 2.6 for the week (IF you count a Monday weigh-in).

ORRRRRRRRRR I could not have weighed on Monday and waited until today and I am down -4lbs since last Sunday!! I guess it's all relative. I FEEL like I've only lost -1.8 because I've known about the other weight loss all week. Still....I'm down another 1.8 since Monday so that's good no matter what.

This officially concludes my first month and I'm down a total -12.8 I had truly hoped for at least 15 my first month but I have also been working on my blood sugar levels (diabetes) which were OUT OF CONTROL at the beginning of the month!!! My body fights me about losing weight because of the diabetes and sugar levels. Sooooo now that I have that WELL under control I am hoping my body will react more typically to this reduction in calories and COOPERATE :D

I have mentioned earlier this week that come Tuesday my RAGING RIVER will be here and so I was preparing myself for the worst. DOWN some is better than UP any and I am in a good place this morning :)

I hope everyone else has a wonderful and Blessed week. I'll be talking to you all this week I'm sure (I couldn't stay away from this if I tried) but until then...
SHAKE IT UP...SLURP IT DOWN...WIPE YER MOUTH...WE'RE THINNIN' DOWN!!

Well, here I thought I was going to be the first one up this morning and bikipatra has me beat! Sorry you had a sleepless night. I had 2 kids w/ 2 friends sleeping over so I was up and down all night!!

Hey I love the poem LilM!

Anyway, I had a 1.5 lb loss again this week. I am wondering if I am starting to see a pattern here.

Anyway, any loss is a good one so here's to a new week and may the PB gods move on to a new house and let me be! I will solve this problem this week and take account of my accountability!!!

Happy Daylight Savings time everyone! ;)

Good Morning to All,

I just LOVE Sunday mornings! It all makes it so worthwhile to stick to Medifast in the weekly hard times!

I am down another 1.6 pounds! I am on day 31 for a total loss of 16 pounds! Looking forward to that 20# Club!!!

BTW, Dean, I was thinking of you in my birthday suit this morning and chuckling to myself: my glasses felt darn heavy on my face as I looked upon the numbers on my digital scale  Glad I wasn't wearing any "heavy" perfume!

I look forward to everyone's success stories!

First week

Postby Mary » April 3rd, 2005, 6:18 am

Hi Everyone,

This is my first roll call weigh in. I began the program Monday and I'm down 8.5 pounds. Days 3 & 4 were the most difficult in terms of headaches and feeling like I had no energy, but now I'm feeling good. Really enjoying reading all of the posts.

Good morning all - great job for everyone -- losses everywhere! That's what we want to see.

And a special welcome to Mary on your first weigh in!

This is week 11 for me and I'm down another 2 pounds - for a total of 29 pounds ... almost squeaked into that 30 pound club this week ... but that's okay, I'll see it next week.

Everyone have a wonderful day!

Good Morning!

Everyone is losing~that's great!
I lost 1 pound, as always, hoping for more but I'll take it.
After 12 weeks I understand that there are big losses, little ones and sometimes none but it's all fine with me because not only are 42.5 pounds gone, just the way I feel now makes it all worthwhile.

Congratulations to us all! :goteam:

Good morning, and congratulations all!

I was dreaming of getting weighed just before I woke up this morning. Must be from all this talk the past couple days about the scale and what time of day to weigh yourself. In my dream, I was down 25#! I kept getting on and off cuz I knew that couldn't be right. In reality, I was down 2 for the week.

Let's have a great week! Keep shakin'!!

Good morning gals! (And you, too, Dean, after you get your sleepyhead on the scale this mornin'!) It's great to see you alllllmost squeak into the 30# club, Ame-- you'll definitely do it next week, and we will throw a virtual party for ya! ;) Great loss, Christi, too! I would *definitely* count this as a four-pound week! And 12.5 for the month is great-- you're absolutely right to look on the brightest side (as if 12.5 lbs gone isn't already pretty durn bright!) and recognize that you're not only smaller, you're healthier, and you're beating that dratted diabetes into submission! Great for you!

Welcome to Mary, too, and good job on your restart, biki. Keep it up, guys!

I'm checking in after a week of transition to report a half-pound loss (now at 124.3), which made me let out the hugest sigh of relief... I was *really* worried that any changes to my trusty MF plan were going to result in instant weight gain-- I'd become so used to *not* having to think about what I would eat! But it looks like so far everything is just fine, thank goodness.

Happy Sunday! And happy shakin'!

Congrats to all the losers-- of large and small amounts of weigh!
Oh boy. I was so looking forward to this weigh in and am alas my enthusiasm appears to have been in vain. Pretty much nothing. I guess I can be glad I didn't gain, but I think I weighed in at either 185 or 186 last week. That make me either no loss or a whopping one pound. :(:
I'd like to blame this on a stall at the 3-4 week point but don't know if that's actually the case or not. I started March 10 and today is what, April 3? I guess that means I did just finish the 3rd week. I was truly hoping for more because it's sooo hard to stay motivated with no loss when we have drug reps bringing in free lunch everyday from Olive Garden, Pizza Hut, Panera Bread, etc. Hmm. I guess I could go back to the full fast this week and see if it makes a difference but I have had such terrible headaches the daily whenever I do the full fast plan. I guess on the up-side, 16 pounds is good but I feel my resolve being threatened with this brick wall!
Thanks for letting me vent!
Lara
