Check'n back in this eveing for more encouragement as I see how everyone is doing this week. Here is what I learned from the Shake to Success book about my struggles this past 2 weeks staying on plan. If I keep swaying back and forth between being fully on plan and partly on food and plan, that I am in "no man's land" and will not loose wieght and shut down my metabolism. Not to mention that each time I do this, I create day 1 all over again, where I have to struggle through the first 2 or 3 days with cravings for food and fatigue until I get back into Ketosis. So the question was...Do I want to be on day 1 of the plan over and over again? Or day ___ of success? --Paraphrase per Bess :D

Anyway you all encourage me so much as you are willing to be accountable with one another...

Christine: Welcome! Congrats on being in the 10lb club already and cute baby!

Seaside: Welcome! Glad to have you join us...

Coco: Yep, I'm having my MF right now while reading the posts to keep on shakin! Being out of Ketosis is the pits! Let's stay on program together this week...

bk: You go girl! 6lbs! Celebrating with you...

Rae: Thanks so much for sharing with us your new maintenance journey. What encouragement you are!

Diamond: Good job, keep it going!

Blessings all, Bess :goteam: :cheermed:

For Donna

Postby LilMsTexas » April 17th, 2005, 5:53 pm

Donna dlr2424..........I had that .6lb loss a couple of weeks ago.......and then a couple of days later BAM 2lbs gone!! Sometimes Sundays just aren't "the day" for weighing. That day I was online just pouring on the positive attitude so much I nearly choked but by the end of it I was genuinely feeling better ;) ........at least motivated to continue on :D

You are ALWAYS a ray of sunshine and next week will be something special for you :D Thanks for caring enough to pour out your praises :D

Be Blessed this week,
Christi

Awwwwwwwwwwww.......I hate it when my buddy Donna is disappointed. I think Christi is right though.........next week will be a pleasant surprise for you. Since you stay on plan and don't cheat, there is nothing to feel bad about. You did your part.......and it will pay off. If you are not doing so already, you can try taking a little brisk walk each day. If you are on the 5 and 1...........try going on the full plan for a week. It may take something very tiny to make your body realize that you want it to be lighter!!!

I already see that you are sneaking in a bit more exercise by typing an extra "O" in the word "LOSERS". That key stroke will most definately burn off some extra pounds if you continue to use that word as often as you did............If you are a LOSER, your clothes will be LOOSER........hehe, just trying to make you smile..... Did it work?

Hang in there Donna.......the scale has some pleasing stories to tell you in the very near future!! I am sure of it.

Hi friends! We're back from Hawaii today, and I'm not roll calling. I did a planned break from MF for the trip, and I also got SCADS of exercise (snorkeling, kayaking, hiking), so I'm hoping that I'm all good next week for weigh in. It's back to MF tomorrow for me, but I'm glad I took the break.

I did take a box of MF bars with me and some RTD shakes, and they proved very useful. Friday night, for example, we did a five mile hike, half out to a lava vent to see it oozing lava, and half back (in the dark!). We got out to the flow about 6:30 or so, and I ate a fruit and nut bar and a gala apple. That kept me fueled for the 2.5 miles back, which was good because then I didn't touch the trail mix.

Congrats to all of today's losers, and here's hoping I'm right back here with y'all next Sunday. Wish me well the next three days....

It sounds like Hawaii was great! I know you can get back shakin' on MF! As you know last week I started back after some UNAUTHORIZED intake. Water was my best friend, more than usual.

years ago a friend (a nutritionist) told me somthing that has always kept me on track when i'm on a weight loss program. she said that the fat cells shrink, then they "eat" the skin to come down and cover the fat cells. however, the fat cells can shrink faster than they can consume the skin. so, that area fills with water and - you gain a couple of pounds of water weight. SO, whenever i KNOW that i've been on program and get on the scales and see it go up a little. i say, 'YES!!!!! I MADE A GAP" then just wait, hold tight for sometimes a couple of days, even a week sometimes and then BOOM! you drop the water weight, then the fat cells shrink and then the process starts all over again,
So, cool!!! you made a gap!!! hang in there!!!
