Thanks for all the encouragement!!

It is good that your bars and RTDs won't run out as fast as if you had them for the last 5 days.......................

HAHA! Now that was good. I never thought about that. But I still would have liked to continue on during my trip! I was so motivated... WAAAAAA :(

Can't I just wake up to my skinny self again? It was be way easier!!

I'm back. Queen of restarts! I was just reading through my journal and wishing I was only at 170 again. Well, here I am, 197 pounds, size 16 and feeling disgusted. In addition to feeling disgusted, I was humiliated to show my face here. I did so well. I gained some pounds and confessed and fell off the wagon again. No excuses... my fault!

But my promise to myself..... I'm DONE! I'm BACK! I started 1-1/2 weeks ago and doing great. I have the mindset to keep me on track.

My sister and I are doing this together. She started a support group... you know, talk the talk, face the scale, get measured in front of everyone. It's been great!

I'm back to the gym too. I was so excited about being back on program and getting back into the routine of working out, I pulled a tendon in my foot. Did you know you have a joint on the outside of your foot between your heel and the ball of your foot? Well I pulled it working out on the treadmill (3.5mph, 4.3% incline, 60 min, 3 days in a row). Word up..... DON'T OVERWORK YOURSELF.... THIS HURTS LIKE CRAP!!! I was just so motivated to get back to my skinny self. It's OK though, I'm still going, just can do the treadmill. Just have to pace myself on the cardio and do more weights.

Well enough for now. Gotta get to work. Only working half the day. It's girl's afternoon. We are going to go see "Nights of Rodanthe". Mmmm Richard Gere.... love him. Don't worry! No popcorn or crap for me.. I'm motivated!

Ciao for now :)

Had a NSV yesterday. Went to the movies with 4 of my girlfriends to see Nights in Rodanthe. I got there a little late while the previews were rolling and they were chowing down the popcorn and candy. But, ya know, I had my water and was fine with it. I was even offered popcorn a couple times. Yeah me!

Went and worked out again last night. I usually alternate days of cardio and weights. I tend to put on muscle quite fast (just call me Helga like my workout partner does). I'm thinking maybe I need to do more repetitions and less weight..... does anyone have the answer to this? I know women need to lift a bit different than guys. I just don't want to put on alot of bulging muscle and push my fat out farther.... OMG I'll be a real porky pig then.

Toodles for now,

Smarti

Hi! Thanks for stopping by!

Don't ever be afraid to try, try again! Welcome back! Most of us would never get there if we didn't restart!

Great job on the exercise! It's been my biggest battle, trying to make it a regular part of my life. A battle I still haven't won!

Good job in resisting the popcorn. You should be very proud of yourself. It's hard for me to attend a movie without the popcorn. I have done it MFing before but just made sure I had a bar to munch on. I want to see Nights in Rodanthe....was it good??

To be perfectly honest, I was disappointed in the movie. Was it horrible no, but I guess I expected more with all the hype prior to the movie coming out. Of course Richard Gere is hot in the movie, yummmm. If I was to rate it, I'd say it's a renter... don't waste your money buying a theatre ticket. It's definitely a major chick flick... my hubby would need therapy if I dragged him to it hehehehe

It's been a good two days, no cheats and the program is finally easy for me again. I'm not tempted by anything right now. I'm at the point I need to remind myself to eat. This is how it should be... it just takes a few days to get there.

Went and golfed this morning; what a beautiful day out. Shot a 96 which is a good score for me.. yeah me! We did cart it, but I did jog to the cart when I had a chance for a little bit of exercise. I'm about ready to go to the gym right now because I feel guilty I didn't go last night. Just trying to get myself into the habit.

Hope all have a good weekend :)

Ohh Elizabeth, my fellow maintenance sister!! Thank you!! You have done so well at keeping your weight off!!!! I'm envious! Well here I am again.. but at least I'm here and back in the swing of things.

I've restarted fifty bazillion times in the last couple years. I do well for a day or a handful of days and fall of the wagon. I think there are several factors of why I think this time it's for real (AGAIN) is:

* I'm coming here and being accountable
* I'm a part of a MF support group that meets every Thursday night to weigh and measure
* I'm sick of being fat and not fitting into things

But right now, I'm feeling really good. Tomorrow will be my two week mark and I've lost 11.9 pounds as of today. The program has now reached the time where I'm having to remind myself to eat - I love that! I'm also working out on a regular basis at our fitness center. I can already feel the difference (people may not be able to see it - but I can FEEL it). It's all good.

Going to golf again today (yes, I have to get as much golf in before the "R" word starts up for the season) and then my hubby and I are going to our friends house for game night. They typically have a bunch of munchies out.. I'm bringing a vegie tray. I'm not worried... I'M DETERMINED to get this weight off. I want to fit into my smaller clothes!!!

Hi Smarti!

GREAT to see you! I'm so glad you have your sis and your group as partners!

Yay for the working out, so sorry about your paw! Hope it gets better quick!

I'm definitely no physical trainer, but I've always been told more reps at less weight is better for toning...more weight with less reps is for bulking up...I'm on a pilates machine kick and barre work, so we'll see if I lengthern and strengthen or if muscles start appearing!

I know what you mean about wishing you were only at 170. One of my girlfriends was reminding me of a couple of years ago when Iw as bitching about being "fat" on our cruise (I was 10lbs over my lowest)...can you imagine if I stopped the slide at 10lbs? At least I know there WILL be an absolute stop and go back on MF full-time line once I reach goal this time...I have decided it will be 7lbs over goal and I will not cross that line ever again...this re-starting and re-losing is for the birds! LOL!

Okay, I'm done babbling now!

Glad you're back! Let's finish this!
