Sunday Morning Roll Call May 23, 2004

Postby RavenKat » May 23rd, 2004, 5:51 am

Guten Taag everyone!

I gained 1 pound last week and lost 5 pounds this week - so a net loss of 4, I guess. :-)

My total on Medifast is 19 (oh, so close!) and my TOTAL Total is 33. I lost 14 before I started MF - but it took forever.

Look forward to hearing from the rest of you. :D

Well i have good news and bad news I bought one of the new digital to the 10th lb scales last night and it weighs me 7.5 lbs higher than my old scale- isn't that wierd? My old scale works but I wanted to have the digital scale becuase even a 1/4 of a pound is a loss. So far According to my old scale I've lost 12.5 pounds, which is great, but I want to use my new scale which means I have adjust my #'s below higher Aughh what do you think I should do? use the old one or consider accuracy and use the new one?
Peace & Love,
Amanda

After the turmoil I had this month (with the meds), I am back on track. I now weigh 265 lbs and have lost since I started Medifast 20 lbs. I have finally made the #20 club.

In total, I have lost...... 35 lbs (since I include the starting weight in Jan 2004, which was 300 lbs). I have 15 lbs to lose to meet my 1st goal and a total of 129 lbs more to lose to meet my ultimate goal of 136.

People noticed my face is slimmer, my tummy, back and side look less pronounced and YES, my clothes feel real baggy. I feel soooooo good.

Wowser! You are all such big losers! So proud of you!

Amanda, I also dealt with the scale issue you are facing. I used to weigh on them both for a while (and recorded them both in my daily weight log! How anal is THAT?) and then I just decided I'd go with the digital and bag the old spring scale. Glad I did. :D

You know where you started, you know you have lost weight, you are looking good and feeling gooder yet! Don't let your scale determine the success  for your day - you are in control of what you eat and what you don't eat.

When we choose wisely and eat healthy we get a bit closer to our goal every day!

 Keep shakin' and :water: slurpin', you are all on your weigh to a healthy new you! :kool:

I'm not piping in with a roll call number ........... just to say that as of yesterday morning I had gotten back down to where I was almost 2 weeks ago (34.9 pounds lost), after my little set-back of last week.

As of this morning, I'm up to 35.1, a new high (or low, depending how you look at it!) and hoping I can stick with it, I'm at a conference and food is everywhere, and I really want to eat it, but so far I've fended off temptation.

Good job everyone!

Just 1.6lbs until your first goal! That is awesome! I know how hard it can be to find something healthy at conferences. Why do they always have cheese danish or jelly cream donuts in the mornings? Thank goodness for my one bar a day, it helps me resist.

Carrie ~

Conferences CAN be productive: they always have a variety of teas available. Drink tea all day long. When you're sittin' in on some of those boring seminars, slip out to the sandbox - tea gives you a reason for leaving the seminar, gives you a teensy bit of exercise as you walk down the halls, flush those toxins and flab buh-bye! You can come home thinner than when the conference started!

Nothing tastes as good as thin feels.

Danish, donuts, pre-made sandwiches served from a cardboard box, limp celery and broc - gosh, you can have THAT any day! Those Danish and Donies will still be around when you reach your goal weight. You do not HAVE to have them today.

You aleady KNOW how they taste, right?

You've had that rubbery chicken stuff they serve at ALL the conferences around the USA before and you will probably have it again sometime in the future!

Choose wisely.

Picture yourself at your goal weight.

Think about how good it will feel the day you step on the scale and it registers your perfect number!
That special day will be worth all the times you decided to pass by the chocolate mousse or the chocolate cake.

These boots are made for walkin' and that's just what they'll do, they'll walk right past the desserts 'cuz those foods aren't gonna be good for YOU!

You are in control of what you allow to pass your lips - remember, IT lives forever on your hips!

You've been on target for a while now, you are on target today and you will remain on target tomorrow because you make great choices!

No more stinkin' thinkin'

Hi Gang!

Thanks so much for all the great support.

I am happy to report that so far so good. The food isn't bothering me quite as bad as Monday, but I am still having to think about it every minute. Luckily the scale has rewarded me, I have zoomed right past 230 and this morning weighed in at 228.4!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That's 38.1 pounds. I can say that the scale going down definitely helps me stay faithful, I don't want to do anything to spoil the great new numbers!

I went out for a little shopping trip and wound up at a Salvation Army store........ turns out the jeans were $1 that day, so I bought one pair of each size from 12-22, in preparation for when I can wear them! And it was only 6 bucks! I did have a moment when I held up the size 12 when I thought 'I will NEVER be able to get into these' I squashed the negative talk and bought em anyway!

I hope I can take these experiences and learn from them. Resisting the temptation feels much better than giving in to it and the scale is rewarding me!

Hope everybody is doing well and I hope I have a GREAT number to report Sunday for roll call.

Hello All!!!

I have decided to only weigh myself once a week as I had been slave to the scale and last week Wednesday I was cursed with a gain of 4.4 pounds even though I was -entirely- faithful to the program..talk about depressing.

*drumroll*

Today was weigh day..and I am THRILLED to report that I lost..yaaaaaay!!! Not only did I lose, but I was rewarded with a loss of 9 pounds!!

:cleader:

Needless to say, it is a happy day. It also makes me a member of the 40# club while medifasting!!!!

Cheers all, keep true to yourself and you will be true to medifast.

-M. the result loving!!!!
