Hi everyone!!

I've missed posting on the board lately. Everyone is doing great. I'm down 3 pounds. I'm surprised I lost that much. I'm happy. I've decided I'm going to cut my hair as a reward for losing 30 pounds. Whenever I get there.

Keep up the great work, everyone!

Great job everyone!!!

I'm down 1.5 since past Sunday's rollcall. WoooHoooo!

I was down 2.5 on Wednesday and moved my ticker too soon. :( I started exercising :treadjog: and some light weights :weightlift: for my upper body so that may have slowed me down.

No worries though! I'm seeing big differences in my body and I am fitting comfy in my size 14 pants now!!!! So the inches came off this week even if the pounds didn't!

I hope I make the 20 lb. club next week!!!

Everyone have a great week!!!! Happy Shaking!

Hello Everyone!

Congrats to everyone for the weight loss. I've lost another 5lbs for a total of 13lbs in 3 weeks. Can I join the 10lbs club now? I was going to start going to the gym again today but with the snowstorm last night I think I am going to stay in and just do some pilates. Have a great week everyone!

Good afternoon my fellow MF buddies!

Today I am down 3 pounds from last Sunday! :kool: ROCK ON!

The day I started, I went to Filene's to get some pants that fit:
* XL velvet yoga pants
* 1X velvet palazzo pants
* 18W Lee jeans

Luckily they were all on sale ($20 or less per pair), because now, the only pair that fits is the XL yoga pants ;) The other 2 are silly big!

Lesson to self: Do not buy new clothing at the start of MF! :D

I  this plan!

:woohoo:

Newbie Couple checking in for 'Roll Call'

Postby RyCoBlakesFolks » February 12th, 2006, 11:40 am

Hello Fellow Losers!

I just posted in the Newbies section this morning. My husband and I have been on the Medifast Program for 2 weeks now.

I started the program at 278.5 and lost 11 pounds the first week! I weighed this morning and have lost another 10 pounds for a 2 week grand total of 21 pounds!!! I am now at 257.5 pounds and delighted with the results so far!

My husband Jerry began the program weighing in at 351.5 pounds and lost 20 pounds the first week! No, that is not a typo, he lost TWENTY pounds the first week! This morning he weighed in and had lost another 5 lbs. for a grand total of 25 pounds in 2 weeks! He is now weighing in at 326.5 pounds.

We are a 43 year old couple and on our way to a thin healthy future!

Good luck to everyone as we all continue to lose!

Good Afternoon Everyone!!!

WOW!!! You are all so inspiring. Big losses, little losses, even no losses this week, everybody is sticking with the program and making it work.

Seeing many of you reach new clubs and some of you almost at goal is motivational not only for yourself but for all of us.

Aunt Flo came to visit 5 days early this month (think MF-soy products has anything to do with that?) and even with that, I'm down another 2 pounds. WooHoo!
We see MF working for us and your constant support is so helpful to keep working MF.

Have a great week.
See less of you next Sunday.

After a slow week last week (2 pound loss) and dealing with a lot of family issues, I was excited and inspired going into this week and swore to myself I would make the 20# Club this week. I did that and so much more! :D

I am happy, excited, proud, and just plain giddy to report that I lost another 6 pounds this week! Bringing me to a total of 22.5 in four weeks! I knew I loved MF before, but this week has just reaffirmed my dedication.

....and I must say, I continued to be shocked everytime I step on the scale, because it is still moving and moving so quickly!

Congratulations to everyone this week on your hard work, dedication, and great losses. :bravo:

Joyce and Lisa, I notice that we are all right within a half pound or so of each other after having started on the same day....that makes me excited because I know I'm keeping up with you both and that we are all succeeding just as I knew we would! Congratulations, ladies! :star:

I have just finished a full month (30 days) on MF and my weight has dropped from 195 pounds to 177.2 today. That is 17.2 pounds! As you see, that averages out to a little over four pounds a week. I’m thrilled, as I sip my steaming mug of cappuccino and coffee.

Please allow me to explain to you all what an amazing time of learning this has been for me. I have come to believe that my body knows exactly what it takes to keep me healthy and how fast or slowly it wants me to lose. As long as I follow program, and exercise what I can---walking 30-40 min. almost every day---and drink the water, a true pattern emerges of just how much I should weigh, and how I should feel.

A software program I use records my daily weight, and also does a lot of other configurations for me. It also pretty well accurately tells me what to expect daily. It is telling me now that I may have to give back a little weight this next week. Maybe I can prove it wrong or maybe not! Whatever. It is what it is supposed to be. Last week the scale fluctuated several ounces up and down, while my body was adjusting to whatever it needed.

I do not think this is for everyone, but I weigh each morning on an accurate digital scale It doesn’t bother me to see the numbers moving ever so slightly up or down, until it eventually settles on where it should be. It works for me, but again, perhaps, not for everybody. I am beginning to marvel at what wondrous machines our bodies are.

This MF program, which I trust implicitly, has been studied and proven over a long period of time, so I must take at face value that it is accurate and correct and will keep me healthy and give me the results I want.

I’m 76, (unbelievable to me when I say it.) and my 60th wedding anniversary is coming up in October. Before I started MF, Bill would say to me, “Where is that 16 year old girl I married?”

Well, I want him to see her at our 60th celebration! That will be my anniversary gift to him. By the way, he is my staunchest supporter every step of the way, first only to the fabulous MMT team and of course, you all!

Realizing that one-month does not an expert make, here are a couple things I have done:

First I consulted my doctor who approved the diet program and offered to monitor it as often as I wish. I keep the Daily Success Plan journal provided by MF and enter everything that I eat, weight, activities, etc. I do tweak the foods and menus for variety, staying within the boundaries that have been set by MF. Importantly,I am learning maintenance as I go along, because I‘ve decided that this is a lifetime commitment, and say to myself, “This is what I can do after I reach goal” Mmm, mmm, Good!

I worry when I hear or read that someone is just going to hurriedly lose the weight and then everything will be hunky dunky! I kind of want to say, “No, no, baby…it’s really just the beginning!” Or this: “I’ll try it for a few weeks to see if it works for me”. Well, of course, it works, but only if there is a strong commitment to make it work. It has to be:“I will do it and that’s that! And I’m sticking to my story!” Or this one: “ I want to lose yea many pounds in two weeks or I’ll go to something else!” Honey, you’re not ready yet!

When you are sick and tired of being unhealthy and the doctor says you must lose weight or risk dying, or become incapacitated, at an earlier age---no matter how long it takes. Then you are ready! And you will find a program that you can live with and hold fast to, making it your number one priority until you have reached your precious goal!

Fantastic promise, children!

Congratulations, everyone! What a trip, sitting here reading about all of these people that are just shedding excess weight and burden! You know, walking around Epcot yesterday my husband and I were marvelling at how very many overweight people there are, as a ratio. And my gosh, the young kids who are very obviously already obese or morbidly so! It is daunting to see what we as North Americans have subjected ourselves to!

So three cheers, to everyone here, for deciding to do right by ourselves and our bodies and GET HEALTHY for good!

I have no idea what I have lost this past week (as I will not weigh) and I honestly dont care, Im certain there is significant loss and I feel GREAT!

An awesome week to you all!
Cheers!

I tried to log in my loss yesterday but kept getting invalid session - happens every Sunday when I try. Oh well.

My Sunday weigh in after 20 days of being on MF was down 16 LBS!!!!! Although many seem to be down more than this at this point, I am very happy at this loss. I really feel the difference in my clothes and people are starting to notice - which is cool. When you have this much to lose, you figure you have to lose at least 30 or 40 pounds before anyone would notice. But several people have said something to me already.

Congratulations to all you "losers" out there :D
