Nope, not into pain here, lol.

Food journal update: For today, I posted my food journal. Yeah me.

Well, folks, I've been at the cabin all weekend workin' my butt off getting ready for a party. We decided to "clean", OMG.....two straight days of scrubbing. My arms hurt, my hands hurt, my shoulders hurt...but the cabin looks incredible! I washed all the windows inside and out, scrubbed the ground-in dirt from the floors, cleaned all of the window sills and cobwebs, swept the rugs. My husband scrubbed the decks and painted the foundation. Next week is the small jobs, fixing a broken screen, scrubbing the deck chairs, cutting grass......who's idea was this party anyway??? Oh yeah, it was mine.....what was I thinking??

One thought occurred to me while I was suffering.......I could not have done this last year at this time. I would not have wanted to do this last year at this time.

Food journal update: Done, 2 days in a row.

The Steelers are playing tonight, so I can't write much. They need me.

Well, I am a different person. When I'm done, I will have lost fully 1/2 of myself! Boggles the mind.....don't like to think to hard about that, lol.

Food journal update: I missed yesterday, but I'm going to go back and post it right after I'm done with this post.....promise!

I've hesitated to tuck my shirts in because of the midriff thing goin' on, but yesterday, I wore a new pair of slacks (brown w/turquois pin stripes) and a light ribbed turquois sweater to work. The sweater is kind of close fitting and just seemed to need something........hmmmmm a belt, maybe? I recently bought one of the hipster type belts (they fit at an angle on your hips)....well, I stuck it on and wow! It really made the outfit. My hubby did quite a double take when he saw it and my lunch date commented on how slim I am looking. Love it love it love it!

This middle aged bod will never have a flat tummy again.....no bikini's for me.....but I'm tellin' ya......I looked good!

Thanks Ebony, I really appreciate that! (a note: this answer is my daily practice at being able to take compliments and not downgrade myself in the process.....how'd I do?)

Food journal update: doing fine for the moment.

My doctor ordered blood work because my last had slightly elevated MCH.....whatever that is. Well, this time, it's a little higher, so I tried looking it up on the internet to see exactly what I have too much of. If I can trust what I read, it's not a significant problem, but I'll need to meet with my Dr. to get her explanation. Things like this scare me. Not because of any health issue, but because I'm afraid she'll say it's time to get off of Medifast. Then I'll have to beg and plead and if my husband finds out, he'll agree with her because he already thinks I've been on long enough and I look good the way I am.......UGH!!!!!

I am jumping the gun a little bit, but these things enter my mind and I have to deal with them internally, so why not here?

OK, I have only 18 pounds to go......ain't no way I'm getting off my program until I say! (do I sound at all strong? I wanna sound strong and determined and unmovable)

Tim,

I eat meat according to the QS guidelines. Chicken - about 3/wk, beef - 1-2/wk, fish - 2-3/wk. Does that have anything to do with MCH?

Hi Jo,
I'm certainly no MD or expert. Just a quick search on the web shows that elevated MCH levels can possibly be caused by a deficiency in folic acid or vitamin B12 and can be more common in vegetarians.
