I assume this was for Nickie?

Nickie, good luck on the classroom move. Di has to do that, but has to wait til August. We shall be compliant and we shall lose. ;)

Laura, thanks for the encouragement. It can be difficult, even in Christian schools. I taught at a local one my first year. Last year I had 3 classes with upwards of 38 kids. Its an inner city district, and can be difficult, but I muddle through.

Hi Mike,

I got your voicemail yesterday. Thanks for much for checking up on me. You are so supportive and caring. I ran into another slump. I was so happy about my 4 pound loss. Then I started doubting myself. I had a few nights of binging late at night while watching tv. Old habits are hard to break. The good news is that I am back on program today. I did awesome today. One day down, one to go. And so on, and so on, and so on.

Tonight I walked for 20 minutes!! Woo Hoo. I decided to just slow down my exercise instead of refraining all together like I had been doing. I am the type of person who really needs to get that workout in to feel motivated. So I may not be riding my 16 mile route on the bike right now, but I will get out and get moving a little bit while my calorie intake is so low.

Thanks for believing in me when I sometimes don't even believe in myself. It is refreshing. You are awesome!!

Thanks for the check ins. Been a tad busy of late.... but I've been reading.
Gotta take Di's car in for an oil change and while I wait going to Starbucks to hang and chat (great way to meet folks who might be future Medifasters). ;)
Great to see you doing so well also.

Do you stalk the local McDonalds and Burger King for potential Medifast "Newbies".

Actually, I haven't been to McD's or Burger King... I'm not sure that would be a very good venue anyhow. ;)
Walmart would be perfect... but don't get there often.
Starbucks is happy though....

Bring on the sarcasm.

Just a quick update. I haven't been around as much the past few days due to a bit of stress going on in our lives.
We are planning this HUGE 70th birthday party for my mom... so managing the RSVP's, getting all of the ducks in a row, getting all of the decorations and cakes, and stuff all ready... been busy.
At the same time, we are also preparing for SIL (Dayna) baby shower. Not so much stress on my part, but still stress on Di, which leads to... you guessed it....
Anyhow, we got news last night that my mom was in the hospital again (2nd time in a week) with congestive heart failure. She has an infection which caused her system to go whacky, heart beat irregularly, all that. So, she is supposed to get out tomorrow. I spent most of the day with her, then shopping for the party (which we are hoping she will be able to be at... since its her birthday).
So, that's what is going on here.

Miguel ~
Boy, oh boy! It must be something in the air!
I'm assuming that, since she is being released tomorrow, your mother's condition has improved? Yay!
I hope she enjoys her party - sounds like great fun!
That, and a baby shower?? Wow, y'all's party animals!!

Hey, thanks for keeping me and my family in your prayers. That really means a lot to me...
...and I love your idea about getting together sometime this summer ~ when things settle down for you, that is!
We'll talk...

Oh Mike,
I'll keep your mom in prayer. I do hope she gets better and is able to go to her party.

I do hope you and Di can get your stress levels lower.
