Warning 4 newbies (& vets 2 i guess) who plan 2 be compl

Whatever you do, please be careful not to do too much shopping when you start. And if you do, buy things on sale cuz you literally won't be able to wear them long.

I bought this really cute pair of jeans a few months ago. When I bought them, they were too tight to wear. I buy things like that to motivate myself to lose and get into them and so they'll last a lil when i get there. I KNOW lots of folks don't agree with this philosophy but it works for me and "to each his own".

So I finally did get down to a point where i could squeeze into them :D . But here's the thing, I've only worn them twice since I started MF last month and imagine my disappointment this morning when i went to go put them on and they look horrible! i can't wear them anymore cuz the waist is way too big that not even a belt can be worn with them!

but don't fret, the good news is that i have some even smaller jeans to work towards (i've got all way down to a size 12 in my closet! crazy i know!) I just wanted to be sure that folks don't waste a lot of money buying too many nice things at their current size cuz you won't stay in them long. good luck on your journey.

Not sure if 185 is my goal...I'll know when I get there!

Lil,
What a great feeling to know that you have perservered and now can't even wear a pair of pants purchased just a bit ago......That's the nice thing about stores......they always have more pants. I have kept one pair of pants in my closet now for the last 8 years.....bound and determined to one day get into them.....I look forward, with the help of all y'all and MF, to fit into those babies!! WOOHOO!!! Keep up the great work!

I have 5 pair of pants that I am working towards. I bought a pair of 14's couple weeks ago, I don't have the right shoes to wear with them and I just know that by the time I get the right shoes...they wont fit anymore. Thats a good think AND a bad thing.

Hi

Isn't that a TERRIBLE problem to have! :p

I have taken to adding to my wardrobe between sizes by shopping at thrift stores such as Savers, that way I'm not spending a bunch of money on stuff I'll only be in for a few weeks!

You know DeDe...when we do our Az get togethers, maybe we should bring clothes...I know I am trying to get ride of all my 18's and if someone out there can wear them...why not? I think if I remember I will bring them and see if someone might want them.

I wish someone would have told me sooner about this. They need to put warning labels on the medi food.

That's a great idea Elke,
I'll bring several bags...
one with the 18's,
one with the 16's,
one with the 14's, and
one with the 12's that don't fit (most do!)

I've dealt with the same "problem". Just beware, if you buy a pair of pants that are too tight - keep trying them on every few days as you will be surprised at how fast they are too big.

But what a great feeling......... the trade off........ SMALLER JEANS!!!!
