OK, so today is my official weekly WI. I'm down .8 ..... big deal! LOL I'm miffed about it, but what's a girl to do? I'm just plain losing slower this go round -- guess that'll teach me to stick to it till the end and NEVER EVER EVER have a need to eat dirt again!!!

My man is on day 5 and get this... he isn't weighing, at all!  Go figure!! LOL He's just going by pants size....to each his own, right?

So I am hoping next week is better. One low week I can handle but multiple weeks will make me wanna pull out my hair

Good luck to all for an OP weekend!!!!!!

Ok, so does that mean that we have affected our metabolism by all the restarts over the years? Or could it be age? ;) :?: :?: I'm not wishing it on you BUT i need you to have a couple of low weeks so i can play catch up. The great part (for you) is that historically, you NEVER have back to back low weeks. Well, historically, i didn't either  It seems like almost a month ago i said "Onederland is so close" and well, Onderland is STILL close (but no friggin' cigar). Maybe it's just something in the air. Yeah, THAT'S what it is.

He's not weighing? WOW! Yup, for each his/her own. Did he even get a starting weight? Some things just aren't as important to those from Mars. Those of us from Venus can be so obsessive with things. Good for him for reaching day 5!

  uhmmmm, we're you tryin to make me feel better or worse???? ;) You crack me up!!! I dunno but that maybe its a combo of crappy metabolism after all these losing attempts in addition to age .... <sigh>

NOPE & NOPE! He doesn't even own a scale! Whereby as a comparision, I had to purchase one a few years ago that measures in 10th's - LOL! He believes he knows roughly what he weighs but he could care less about the number on the scale! It's all about how his clothes fit......and that's prolly a good thing cause he had Gumbo for lunch yesterday and then asked me if it was OP or if he'd goofed up ...... :) Gotta love him! :)

Once again, you guys have brought some much needed comic relief into my life! I keep trying to break our scale, I have dropped all sorts of things hoping to shatter it, but it just keeps on sticking.....I have managed to only weight two times a day now.

I suppose I can come out of hiding mode and post now. This has been the MOST FRUSTRATING week I’ve EVER EVER EVER had whilst eating dirt! Last week I think I ended up losing some stupid amount like .8 but the day after that the scale shot up several POUNDS -- WTH????

Unlike OC, I didn’t get on and off and on again. Instead I stood there looking at the #(%&($ thing wishing it would just implode! That was how it went for me pretty much every day this week….WTH????????? I’ve been frustrated and angry and, of course, it didn’t help that I had headaches all week. And to top off a jolly good week I had to go in for my mammogram (Oh joy!) in addition to having to have an ultrasound because my uterus is enlarged….Hmmm, I thought, could that be where the three pounds in hiding??? (I’m laughing but it really isn’t funny -- I dunno what’s wrong yet -- more joy!) Though, does anyone find it a little funny that Uterus Girl and Ovary Chick are friends? HAHAHAHAHA

So, I have to say that today was WI and I was expecting to post a gain HOWEVER I suppose my body decided that I’d had enough for one week and I was able to post a 1.4 loss this morning. Just when I thought all hope was lost I realized that I’m about half way to my first goal -- which is the wedding goal. I’m half way to being at a weight that should photograph well and not make me look like a beached whale during the beach ceremony! 25 pounds between now and June is certainly do-able -- can my body really lose ANY slower? Please don’t answer that question…..I’d, of course, like to get back to losing 3 pound every week but as long as I hit my goal I will be happy -- I’m doing everything I can….well, except working out but I’m not sure that’s going to be helpful given that I retain SO much water when I do! For the long term, I will add in the work outs but for the short term I am going to focus on staying OP and getting to my first goal!

OK, that’s it for now……If I wake up tomorrow and see another 3 pound gain I’m gonna throw my scale out the window!!!!!!!!!!!

Well, Joy, I am happy to report that my scale is a lucky survivor cuz it decided to move in the CORRECT direction this morning! Today I was down 1.4 fom yesterday -- sheesh, that's more than I lost all week last week!! Hopefully I am back on track to losing but we shall see,I suppose!!

I'm concerned that I might not be in Ketosis because the pee sticks aren't registering it -- and the much slower weight loss seems to support it. Is it possible to be ketosis-resistent???? I know my carbs are well within the MF range as I'm having only about 70-74 a day depending on the day. Well, thankfully the scale is being nice right now so I'm going to enjoy it, be thankful for it, stay mindful of what I put in my mouth and hope it keeps going till its going - going - gone!

Good luck to everyone for roll call tomorrow!!

Hugs!

My body must FINALLY get that I'm sticking to this plan so it better start giving up the fat! I've lost more since my WI on Friday than I lost all last week! I love getting a week off to a good start. I'm just hoping it keeps up!! I'm 24 pounds from my wedding goal with 3 months and 5 days to go so I just KNOW I can do it!!! YES I CAN! Sometimes I even allow myself to fantasize about being even smaller by June....if only ....

Best of luck to everyone for an OP week!

Chcek it out!!! 23.2 pounds to wedding goal!! Woo Hoo - I'm getting there! I so know I can do that by June!! The scale fairy has taken pity on me and is giving me encouragement -- yesterday I was up 1.5 but I had walked 3 miles on Sunday and figured it was the water retention.....my body is sooooooooo funny with that!! So I gulped extra water yesterday hoping to pee out that 1.5 pounds and I suppose it worked cuz I got rid of it PLUS .8 this morning <insert happy dance here> :) I have 3.5 more weeks OP before I feel that I must go look for a dress so Miss Scale Fairy PLEASEEEEEEEEEEE be nice to me over the next few weeks!!!

I am back to weighing and counting and thinking about EVERYTHING I put in my mouth. I've done the plan for so long and so many times that I think I got too comfortable and that may have hurt me over the past few weeks -- or maybe it was just my body? Either way, I'm not taking chances so I am back to the stricktest of guidelines!

I must add in though that I'm still not in ketosis according to the pee sticks -- I was back in early Feb but no longer. I do feel tired most of the time though I'm not usually hungry unless its time to eat. So, I an still wondering if someone can be ketosis resistent? I think I'll go post that on the MediFast boards and see if the MF folks over there know.

OK, gotta run - BBL!

Congratulations on the scale moving so nicely!

As for ketosis, I think I read that following the MF program puts us in a mild state of ketosis and that it doesn't always show up on the stix. Personally, I wouldn't worry about those stix or even buy them, as you are following the program and it will work--truly doesn't matter if your urine changes the color of something. (Just my 1 cent worth).

I totally agree with T. These sticks are for some people and not others. I read on the medifast board that The stick is not accurate all the time. You are doing Fabulous girl. I am so excited for you.

Keep Rocking it.
