Sunday Morning Roll Call, August 15, 2004

Postby RavenKat » August 14th, 2004, 7:07 am

Hi everybody - yes, I'm a day early. My new weigh-in day is Saturday and didn't want to create a whole topic just for me. :?

I lost 8 pounds this week! I passed my first goal of 199 and am 1 pound away from the 40 pound club.

In the TMI (Too much info) category - my tucchus is getting wrinkles! Time to start doing squats and lunges, huh? I'm 41 not 91!

Thanks for being there, everyone.

Kat

WOO-HOO Kat, way to go!

Try sitting on some hot concrete, maybe that'll iron some of those tucchus wrinkles out!

Ok, drumroll please! (why do we NOT have a drumroll icon, or did I just miss it?)

End of week 1, which in my case was really 9 days, 18.5 pounds lost. Considering my initial goal was a pound a day, not shabby but I'd hoped for more after day 5 at 12.5 pounds lost. Finally I can update my sig!

Ouch! I'll try shrinking out the wrinkles with a hot tub experience instead. ;)

Congrats on your super weight loss!!!!!!

So our cumulative total in this category is, drum-roll, 26.5 pounds so far. Let's see how high it can go. Yes, Gerald, no drum-roll icon. I thought of using the head banging the desk, but not the same idea.

Huumpf. I can't add much to this, I'm disgruntled to tell 'ya. I stayed off the scale (and off the oats) this week and was fairly miffed when I got on it this morning and say a measley 1 pound gone for all of my self-denial. :bib: However, that takes us to 27.5, so far.

That's 18 pounds in four weeks, so I will settle for it; indeed, I will rejoice for it from the larger perspective. I just wanted to see something more today. Maybe I should've waited. But, I'll make this pledge to hang in there, no quitting this week, no cheating, etc. I still FEEL GOOD, and I do look better, so this is still working for me. Good luck to everyone, and be SURE to enjoy those victories and remember them in times of temptation.

Goooood morning losers!

Postby SusannaRosannaDanna » August 15th, 2004, 5:46 am

I'm weighing in three pounds lighter than last Sunday, and I'm thrilled with it! I was bracing myself for no change on the scale because I'm packin' water this week..LOL...but I was pleasantly surprised!

Great job everyone! I get so excited to see all this success!

On a related note, my hubby is posting a SEVEN pound loss since last Sunday!

Bad news is I hit a plateau and am not losing pounds.

Good news is, although the scale is not moving downward, I am getting leaner by losing body fat and AM LOSING INCHES OFF MY BODY!!!!

Doc said this is normal and may be expected, sometimes you do not see the scale move and it means the body knows when it needs to rest and readjust to now get that fat out of my system. The body fat analyzer she has at the office proved it to me. I was woried for awhile.

So I am getting leaner although the scale is not moving. At least, something is going on and I am not failing.

Congrats to everyone! Boy, what a great week.

Gerald - 18.5 is awesome - don't you dare be even a bit disappointed that it wasn't more. I'll be you'll be down by 30 next week!

Sheryl, I hope you are planning a major celebration. And like I said before, this will be the last time you ever see 300 so I hope you said a proper farewell. You are doing absolutely fantastic.

I actually do my formal weigh-in on Mondays but looks like I'll be down about 2 pounds for the week. I'm in the S-L-O-W weight loss phase now but should be moving to the fast phase, hopefully by end of week.

Thanks to all for your support and the inspiration you provide me daily. You make this so much easier!

Well :D I'm finally down 30 pounds but I'm not going into the 30 pound club yet until I weigh 184 with my clothes on :!: I weighed myself this morning when I got up and was 184, but of course after my shake and my morning coffee the two additional pounds come back. SOOOOO, unofficially I am down 30 pounds. I did take my measurements though and I am down another inch off my hips :D
Hope everyone had a great losing weekend.
