Re-Starting Today

Postby disney..lover » December 16th, 2006, 8:28 am

I lost 40 pounds with Medifast, had to loose around 30 more.
Then I started cheating and gained 30 pounds back. I am so mad at myself.... I try to start everyday and can't do it.....
Today I am starting again.....please any advice on how to pass the first days??? I know i did it before but need words of encouragement..... It is so hard, i get so hungry around lunch time and then around 4pm.

This is my second time around too. What has really helped me is to have plenty of water, diet sodas and Crystal Light around. I have been blessed with not being that hungry but I have been tired off and on. This is just day 25 for me and sounds stupid but the drinks have helped me most.

Hi

Welcome back!

I re-started around Turkey Day myself! Remember the first 3 days may suck, but you'll get through it and get back to parting with the lbs!

I have "danger hours" between 2-6 myself. I space my meals 2 hours apart between that time and have my snack then. And...a truck load of water!

Glad you're back!

Hot tea
Boullion
Water
Sugar free gum or mints
Take a nap
Do something else with your hands.
Watch a good movie.

You'll get through it, you know it just takes a few days.

When you feel like cheating, find a mirror and look at yourself naked (when practical, of course).

Well, I wouldn't recommend stripping down in the office restroom. Or, given the username, at Disneyland. ;)

And it's not Mike. He's Disney Mike.

Hey Disney!

What helps me is to have my L&G during my hunger period and have my bar at the next meal after that. Then I drink my Tazzo passion iced tea (found in the tea section in your supermarket) with splenda throughout the day with water in between.

Hope that helps.

Hey!

Don't get mad! Get going! I had lost 50 some lbs on medifast 2 years ago! Then got all too happy and DID NOT transition well! Jumped right back into bad habits. Woke up last year Bigger and fatter than ever at an all time weight high of 265 lbs. On February of this year I decided to go on a medical food diet. Got very Militant about it and dropped down to 202 by September! NOT BAD! But old habits are hard to die off! party over here, new body new attitude, and hundreds of happy hours coktails later I climbed to 216lbs. OK!! I only gained back 12lbs which better than the last few times where I'd gain all and some more as well!!!!!!! So last week I said ENUFF! Medifast it is for 90 days or till spring. Welcome to yo-yo dieting! What's important here is to learn from our mistakes and to move ahead when we falter! It isn't easy! On day 2 and I feel the urge to have wine, salty stuff...etc... But reading this thread and seeing how so many of you have lost over 70lbs etc... made me realize that I too can do it! So LET's go !

Here's to medifast!
Cheers
Nelly :D

70lbs and then some. Great thing is, if you keep at it you can reach whatever you want.
