Um, maybe you forgot to wash yours. Perhaps there was a clod of dirt still attached to the one you ate ...? I think MF should develop a mushroom-cucumber-clam-cheerio soup just for you. We'll call it the BK Special Brew. Yummay!

Ewwwww, Rae.....that "brew" sounds completely disgusting!

Thanks, y'all, for verifying that those are indeed mushrooms in my soup. I'd been ignoring them, not looking at the ingredients, but now that I know I'll have to pick them out before eating. Mushrooms....blech! :dooh:

geez rae. i'm already not hungry!!! what're you trying to do?! give me the dry heaves???

seriously though. i think cucumbers are horrid little creatures. except when they are turned into claussens (go figure, because they're the cucumberiest of the pickles). but they must be mini pickles. and all the jars at the store must be inspected so that the purchased jars do not contain pickles bk does not consider to be mini. [hey, i like to shop! gotta put my energies somewhere!]

btw, i grew up with a pickle picker when i was a kid (the tupperware pickle container, but not that little weird round one they have now) and i made my family get me one a couple years ago for my birthday (i really pick out the weirdest presents!! for xmas i demanded pens, an electric can opener, spatulas, and raisins... now i'm starting to see why my family thinks i'm so crazy...).

anyhoo, right now my pickle picker is the single most used "appliance" in my kitchen, next to the microwave! i highly recommend it if you can find the large one.

Well, bk, we've certainly clarified that you are a weirdo!!!

But what on earth is a pickle picker? I thought you might be talking about that little device that has retracting metal fingers, used to pluck pickles out of a jar (olives, too). But this sounds like a tupperware bowl... Can you describe it? I'm intrigued!!! And I think I want one!!!

Ok, I'm going to assume I am the only one on this string that lives for sushi and sashimi  I would give anything to have a huge plate of raw fish and octopus with rice right now. I can't even eat cooked fish anymore, it has to be raw. I'm sorry, but I could not resist sharing this with alll of you!

Sushi is actually my all-time, hands-down favorite food. I am in PAIN that I can't have rice with my sushi on this diet. You could actually have sashimi if you're careful to skip the rice, but I figure I'll just wait til I can eat it the way I like it... with rice, that is, in nigiri and maki, in vast quantities!

Perhaps Peter Piper should be pressed for his (ex)pertise. Surely *he* would know.

I feel like I've eaten a peck of pickled peppers by now.

Hmmmmm..........I think I have been cheating myself on the pickles......I have been eating the Vlasic Spicy Dills.........they are kind of puny. Some of those Claussen pickles you guys are talking about weigh 4 pounds apiece. I think there are only two in a jar!!

I know, the rule is two pickles......no mention of size...hehe

As for sushi........a big yuch for that stuff. I want PIZZA!!!! A large pizza all for myself. With pepperoni, tomatos, onion and green peppers!! Then I want a bunch of fries.......and a REAL coke...........and chocolate cake.........and mass quantities of whole milk to wash it down........

sigh!.....but of course I won't have that stuff.....at least for now. I will wait for the other 10 or 15 pounds to come off.......

Dean

I forgot to mention chocolate chip cookies dunked in milk.........mmmmm

i only eat the claussen minis. so they are definitely not jumbo. i make my friends eat the ones that don't pass my careful quality controls for mini-ness.

i checked out the tupperware site, and the classic pickle picker (i think it's called the large pick-a-deli) isn't on there, BUT you could probably get one through a tupperware rep. if you search ebay for tupperware pickle then you will see PLENTY of examples. fortunately mine is aqua colored, not the old school olive colored. it just has a strainer in it that lifts the pickles out so you don't have to put your hands in the pickle juice. easy but great! plus you can store a LOT of pickles in there!
