My name is Bettina and I live in California. Have battled my weight my whole life. Partly I think genetic and partly just bad eating habits. Italian family didn't help

I have been on Medifast ten days. To be honest I have not weighed myself. I know I need to and will buy a scale. But I can tell that my clothes are looser already. I am enjoying the food and being creative with the variety we can choose. I am also really grateful for a website like this with so much support, new recipes and to know that I am not alone in this endeavor.

I think I can make it this time. I am a size 18 and want to get to an 8-10 where I used to be. At 5'10" I think that is as far as I should go. Good luck to everyone else and best of health.

Oh my gosh, I just saw all the lovely replies to my posting as a new MF gal. It's so wonderful to have all of you to take the journey with. Thanks to Dogma for saying I don't have far to go. I think when we are heavy we think it will never stop and the road is an endless one. But I am really happy that I did the MF route. I honestly think it's easier than anything else I have tried. And I wish I would have had a support forum like this in the past. Thanks again to all of you. I hope to be here for a while and get to know you better!!!

Bettina (By the way I do have a username -- it's BettinaV. When I try to use it here to post it says "sorry but this username has already been taken.") Guess I am doing something wrong?????

You gals are my idols. Wow. Congrats to all for the amazing success you have had and thanks for being there. So far so good. I feel so much better doing this for myself and I know you all have been in the place with the tight clothes, not wanting to go out much, etc. I see the light at the end of the tunnel and SO glad I found this web site. It's a blessing and I have all my new pals to cheer me on. Thanks so much.

Bettina --I did try using my username again and it did the same thing.
