needed some input from someone

Postby AngelX » August 19th, 2006, 10:45 pm

Hello everyone

I’m starting to have some concerns. I’ve been medifasting for 3 months now or so, and I’ve stopped loosing weight now. This has been about the last 2 - 3 weeks. Also i can't seem to go back into ketosis. I'm working out about 40 mins a day of light cardio and following my meals like before? I'm not really sure what to do. I've tried dumping the bar. l and g for lunch, working out. Anyone have this happen?

Thanks

i plateaued for a couple of weeks. it was awful-- then it ended and i lost 11lbs in 11 days. then i plateaued again.
i would cut back on the cardio by 15 min & add light weight work 3x a week. possibly add a 6th supplement. do that for a week and see what happens.

do you mean cut out my lean and green and add a 6th medifast? or just add a 6th one to my daily 5 - 1

thank you for the reply

I'd like to hear an expert's opinion, but I am thinking the 40 min cardio workout + cutting out the bar is putting your body into "survival mode", where it refuses to lose weight, as it were. I am the last person to tell someone not to exercise - but maybe exercise should be lighter?

Other opinions?

I would have to agree with the above. If you are working out for 40 minutes/day, you might want to add back your bar or add another supplement. Don't reduce your L&G, though.

Plateaus are very common. Just stick to the program and you'll start losing again soon.

Have you measured lately? Sometimes when the scale isn't moving, the tape measure is.

A quick question:

Are you having a supplement within an hour before exercising and within an hour after? And are you drinking extra water?

I'd say you aren't eating enough. I work out 45 minutes a day and add an extra shake. My weight loss has been pretty consistent.

Hello

Thank you so much for your feedback, I have started to eat the bar again and have been for a while now. I have to admit my water isn't where it should be :|

I don’t measure with inches, maybe I should start and see if I see any difference.

I appreciate everyone's input, thank you very much

As people said... perhaps adding another supplement will help. And more water. See if that kick starts it again.

...and there it is.

People are always so quick to blame the program, before they look at what they are doing wrong.

I never blamed the program, if I did I would have stopped. I only wanted to know the cause of it.

You didn't--that's just asicles. He's our resident smartass/hardass/uhm...I don't know, some kind of ass...

Anyway, besides having great entertainment value (he's hella funny), dude has lost a lot of weight and usually knows what he's talking about, he just has some tact issues. But yeah, he's right about the water. The water is huge, girl. You have to really make an effort to get it all in, and I can virtually guarantee that you'll see a difference.

I wasn't talking about you in particular. I was just pointing out that the people who complain about not losing enough weight usually have something that they are leaving out of the initial post. After a while, we will see the mention of not enough water, regular cheats, or any number of other things.

I noticed that you disregarded to mention that in your post, you just decided to make a statement on my harmless post. I personally feel insulted since I did mention what the factors for not enough water and such might be the cause.

Thank you for posting useless information

In your initial post, you didn't mention that you weren't drinking enough water. Only when someone brought it up, did you discuss it.

You're not getting an apology...so don't dig for one.
