I feel really good today. I got up this morning (although not as cheery as I could have ;) ) Had a great walk with Di, Ana, Tony, and baby Desiree. Came home and planned a vacation for Diana and me at the end of the month. Took a nap... Then this evening I did all of our deck/porch with the old Thompsons Water Seal... tiring, but good exercise. :goofyjump: :runner:
I have lost a pound since last weigh in so far, and I am looking forward to tomorrow to see even more :goteam:

Okay, so here we are, a new week. I started a math class today... Statistics for Teachers. Should be a nice refresher (I got an A+ when I took it 16 years ago in college 8) ) The biggest NSV I have had in quite some time is that when I looked into the room, surveyed the seating accomodations, my first thought was to sit at the nice mini table with large padded chair in front becuase we all know there is no way that I will fit into that measly desk.
Well, I tried the desk, and guess what.... I FIT!!!!
Yes, its been... hmm, let me see here... over 20 years since I have fit comfotably into one of those desks (which I used to think were really made for 9 year old girls). :whoohoo:
So, needless to say, my first day of class (which is 8-12 for 8 days) was a good one, besides, this is just review and I just need it to get a Math Supplement so I can legally teach math anyhow. :yay:
So, I got home, and... I still wonder... where does this energy come from? I got all the stuff together and put together the booth for the Solano County Fair. We are having a booth there starting Friday and so gotta get it finished. :help: Well, its almost done... and will do that tomorrow. Its just nice to have energy to do these kinds of things instead of just wanting to sleep or sit around and watch TV. :yippee:
Well, I guess that's it for now.. gotta get some sleep so I can be awake to hear what the instructor wants me to do with all of these pennies I'm flipping. :dunno:
I'm just happy I fit in the desk :yay:

Way to go, Babe!!! (That's one of my goals, too -- but I'm too chicken to try it just yet.)

The booth is going to look GREAT!!! And I can't get over what a different husband I have! No more wasted summers. Today, Solano County, tomorrow THE WORLD!!!

:heart::heart::heart::heart::heart: I'm SO PROUD of you!!! :heart::heart::heart::heart::heart:

So the post by Zinkette got me to thinking more about her friends attitude about losing weight and being fat, and whether or not its Gods will for us to be so.
As many of you know I am a Christian, and believe in all of the mainstay protestant beliefs. Predestination, free will, the trinity, Christ is the messiah, etc. I also believe that God created all of us for a purpose only He knows. That being said, I also believe that since God is perfect, He would not create something with the purpose of it to be imperfect.
His original purpose for humans was for them to be a perfect creation. Since that is what I believe, then how can I think that He would want me to not strive to be as perfect as I can. Yes, we struggle, its part of our nature that we struggle. It is this struggle that makes us strong. Simply accepting that I am supposed to live my life being overweight and getting more unhealthy is not what God wanted for me. So, I am not going to let Him down.
I am going to strive for a healthier me. It will be, and has been a struggle (thanks to Adam and Eve), but I truly believe that I am meant to not be 6'1" and 300 lbs. (or the 460 lbs I once was). I am meant to be healthy, and live a much longer life than I would have had I just let those thoughts that I was meant to be that way rule my life (and I believe I know where those thoughts were comeing from).

Well, I guess thats all on that soap box for me for today. So, just remember, our bodies are supposed to be temples. What kind of a temple to we want to present to our creator when it comes time, the Taj Mahal, or a beat up tent?

This is from Suzie, Mike's sister (not Diana):

Ok, so I must admit that is not Diana speaking. It's Mike's sister, Suzie. I asked Diana to post this for me because although I tell my brother how proud I am of him, that's not enough! I want the world to know what an incredible person I think he is. I'm sorry that he had to witness my pain on his trip. I do my best to hide that part because it's the hardest part of having lupus and all the other degenerative diseases that go along with it... I hate it that I caused him pain because I could never do enough to repay him for all the joy he has brought into my life. For any of you who don't know my brother personally, he is my hero and I feel honored and blessed that God gifted my life with him. He's one of the most amazing people I have or ever will need. Extra special thanks to him for getting me a beautiful, amazing sister-in-law, too!! (Really, I made Di type that.)

I agree with him, for any of you struggling -- never give up -- God does want the very best for your life. Keep fighting to be the best that you can be. It can only make you feel better about yourself. Even in the times of struggle, at least you know you're still fighting it. And it's a great program. I was on it for several months once and even with a hypothyroid problem and taking high doses of steroids, I lost weight. It was slow, but it worked and nothing else has.

Here's a verse that keeps me going. Hope helps all of you on your journey, too...

"My flesh and my heart may fail; But God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever." Ps. 73:26

Keep it up, you two!!! I'm sooooooo proud of you!

My sister! I love that gal.
I sit here, unable to sleep for whatever reason.. 4 AM and don't need to be up til 6:30.
I've decided that the Solano County Fair is going to be a success, because with Diana spearheading this it just has to be!
We got the frame all set up today, and so tomorrow its just the aesthetics.
Let's face it, when it comes to aesthetics, thank goodness its not up to me. :idontknow:
As you can tell, I'm just rambling here... :bounce:
Class starts in less than 4 hours.... and I've had maybe an hour of sleep... glad I got the homework done. Besides, who cares what the probability of a bear visiting your campground given that you leave the food out overnight... or as my instructor would say, use proper notation... P(B/FO), even if the answer is 84%

On a political note, is it just me or is what's going on between Israel and Lebanon right now seem eerily similar to a few verses Job and Revelation? Just wondering if its just me... :?:

On a funny note... I heard a story on the radio the other day. Seems there was a chase in the great coal state of West Virginia the other day. A man was being chased by two of West Virginia's finest troopers when the man stumbled over a ledge, fell 70 ft and then rolled down a hill another 100 ft. Apparently the trooper chasing him was running so fast that he couldn't stop, and he followed suit. The kicker was that the troopers partner (and after hearing the story I am sure his name must have been Cletis or Enos or some such name), anyhow, he decides to help his partner, so he jumps after him. Yes, thats right.... jumped right into a tree. :hammerhead: :aarggh: I just was picturing this whole scenario going down and thinking it must have been like some old Dukes of Hazzard episode or something. Apparently it happened though... scary. :whattha:

Well, I think thats it for me for now... I hope this has been informative and entertaining.... :coolnana: :bananadance:

Whew, long day but I made it through. We are thinking that it will just be easier to do 6 supplements during the fair, so I think thats what we are going to do.
We are going to load up an ice chest with water, RTD's and take some packets of shakes with us.:bib: :guzzle:
The booth looks good, and we just hope that people welcome TSFL as we hope they will.:thumbig:

Math class was boring today, it was all graphing, but that's how it goes. Just alot of reading this weekend. Oh joy. :pagesturn:

So, anybody have any thoughts on what's going on with Israel?
