I had that problem....wasted alot of money on size 10's. Now I have a huge pile of stuff for goodwill or a size 10 friend....it's stuff I really really liked. Feel sorry for me?

Well, guys, I'm not quite there yet, so just hold your 'taters!
(Someone will surely be blessed to have those beautiful 10's, JO)
I'm not sure what a firm new weight of 130# will do for me.
but I'm sure I'll feel gratified, and hopefully satisfied.
I'm so proud of you 'maintainers' and others who are well on your way.
Thanks for checking in on my little escapade!.
More later...

Lizabette - I agree with the others that you should consult with your doctor and find out his/her thoughts on it all. Truth is, I think most of us who've reached maintenance might have a bit of Body Dysmorphic Disorder - we don't se what we actually look like in the mirror. Obviously we don't actually have BDD or the true clinical definition of it, but I really have moments walking by a mirror and see a fat person, and then have to stand there and stare myself down until I see the real body, the thin body. I say this because we can't know whether you actually should lose a few more pounds or not, we're not with you live and in person. And your friends and family have a jaded sense of reality, because they are not comparing you to some basis of normal or healthy, they're comparing you to the old you - which isn't fair. To our friends and family, we're all "skinny," even if we're not, because comparitively speaking, we are! And to us, we're often still not thin enough. Moral of the story? Go with the doctor. It's a more unbiased approach, I would say...

Oh, and Jo? I totally agree about the giving away of clothes - as much as I LOVE getting smaller clothes, there are some items that I just absolutely ADORED and hate that they won't work anymore (and can't really be tailored), and I miss them! I am happy that I am generally going to be this size, so I can commit to great pieces for the long haul!

Liz, keep on rockin', lady, your energy and kindness is contagious here!

Lauren, I'm not sure some of us don't have true BDD, especially if we have suffered from another type of eating disorder in the past. When I was bulimic I saw tons of fat on my legs and butt that was not there. Similarly, when I was 256 pounds, I couldn't see how big I was. That I was almost topping out the sizes at Lane Bryant just had something to do with my body shape not my weight. I was in incredible denial. Studies have been done to indicate that disorders such as anorexia change our brain chemistry to help create BDD. I am not sure that months and months of a 800 calorie a day diet couldn't do a bit of the same.

I totally agree, Biki, but I didn't want to claim that I have BDD, because that would be insensitive to those who truly suffer from it. And while my vision of myself is still definitely disconnected, I do not have full blown BDD, just need my brain to catch up with my body!

LAUREN, Thank you so much for your caring and concern.
My mind cannot comprehend the great accomplishments of you and JO and others who have lost so much weight.
I repeat, I am in awe of you both.

I definitely will talk with my doctor again, when I am able to see her. Meantime, I will take it slow and easy on any more weight loss.
She was very pleased at my loss when I saw her last time, and did not caution me about losing too much. Thank you again for your wise counsel.

I really have only a few pounds to lose to get to where I think I should be, and as ROBIN has said, I can always change course if it seems wise.
The Senior Plan will really not allow a fast loss, so I feel pretty safe about that.

BIKI, you keep me in stitches, and make this journey fun for everyone.:roflmao:
What did we do before you came along?

CARRIE, I don't know you that well, but you keep up the good work...and come on, be just a little bit sorry for us poor maintainers.
You'll be needing our sympathy one of these day.. .

OOOOOOO...IT IS COLD TODAY. Just at freezing! Not bad in comparison to some places, but cold for here!
But will that stop this unconquerable, courageous soul from going to water aerobics this morning? :x Nay, I say....
Doing good this morning, but great sleeping weather, could have stayed in longer, but again, gotta sacrifice for the cause.

Anyway, where am I this morning? Here is my accountability and resolve report.

Feb. 6 --- 135.5#
Feb. 7 ---133.6
Feb. 8 --- 133.5
Feb. 9 --- 133

See guys, I am not going overboard with this new mini-goal. I have been at that weight numerous times while maintaining.
The difference now is that I want to STAY down there, and not keep creeping back up.

I do appreciate you all. Hope you stick with me...even if I can be a little stubborn sometimes!
Stay warm...

Still nippy out this morning. Debating about going out shopping (looking) but will see.
DH have started doing our taxes (TurboTax) this week and just wondering why the software delights in making it soooo confusing.
It couldn't be just us..but we could sure use JO here!

I'm doing a little better than expected on my mini-goal quest, but that is typical for the first week or so.
And then the BIG slowdown usually comes. I'd sure like to get out ahead of a slowdown!
But I feel fine and not starving.

I can really understand how that some of us could have trouble getting back on track after falling off the wagon.
To me it is more mental than physical, and the making up of one's mind. When that happen's it goes quite smoothly.

Whether on Medifast or any other plan, the longer one stays compliant, the easier it gets to stay on track.
A cheat here and a cheat there, no matter how small keeps one tottering back and forth on the wagon, ready to slip off at any moment.
One thought helped me through to goal. "If I don't take the first bite off plan I will be fine!"
That's a pretty simple concept, but for me it was huge!
If I were starting out new, I know I could make it fine with just that one idea.
Of course, I would learn everything I could about the plan, and get as much help as possible.
Which I did.
With the help of Medifast and YOU!

Here is my daily accountability report.

Feb. 6 --- 135.5#
Feb. 7 ---133.6
Feb. 8 --- 133.5
Feb. 9 --- 133
Feb 10 ---132.3
