THANKS, KARLI,
I read your journal this morning and would have replied but got distracted!
I have thought about you though, and enjoy your posts... very insightful.
And you are so close to goal, and we sure don't want you to get knocked off the wagon now!
I watch your progress and believe in you, that you will make it to goal in flying colors! YEA, KARLI!

JO, I read your journal, too. Hope you have gotten over the morning slump by now. I know you look cute in your jammies!
Thanks so much for your offer to help. You have already helped me so much on this forum, as you have countless others.
I'm sure we will slug our way through the taxes okay, as we have for years. Couldn't be that we are getting 'older' and slower!
DH doesn't do computers (too impatient!) but I have been at it for years.
I remember we bought one of the first ones --- the little PC JR. and have pecked away at computers ever since.
Sometimes I felt like throwing it as far as I could throw, but it was too fascinating to quit and I wanted to learn all I could about it!
And there is still so much to learn, I never will, since it changes by the day! My kids and grandkids are all pretty much whizzes, though.

Well, wish me luck on my new mini- goal (130#). I'll call it that until I reach it good and solidly.
Even if I did go down to 129 and 130 on my transition/maintenance I was getting antsy about being too close to my original goal.
Thanks again!

Don't mean to hijack your thread, but I just have to say that for some reason just hearing that you believe I can do it makes me almost want to cry. Sometimes I feel like I am fighting against this whole stigma that says I will just fail since I haven't been perfect, like maybe people just write me off or something. I refuse to be written off my own books, but I very much appreciate your support, too.

Cheers,
Karli

You have my heartfelt support, KARLI.
Please don't ever feel that you will highjack my thread. I love hearing from you.
You have the same 'feelings' that we all have had, but it is important to believe in ourselves and know that others also believe in us.

Do you believe in that stigma? Do you apply it to others? Unless you have been BS'ing people, you don't. So please don't apply it too yourself.

FEB. 11, 2006
This is Day 6 of my mini-goal quest to lower my goal to 130# and try to continue to maintain it permanently.
Looks like I am doing well and have lost 3.5# since starting on Tues. Feb. 6. I'm feeling good, and definitely not starving myself!

This is odd, because when I reached my goal of 135# on August. 31, I have been at this lower weight a number of times,
and have maintained under my goal weight all but just a couple days during that time.
My highest weight was at 135.5 and I felt that something should be done to limit any more weight gain.

It may be a little more difficult to maintain at 130# or below, but I'll have to find my way with that situation.
If it is too much a struggle then I'll cross that bridge when I get to it.

Here is my daily accountability report.

Feb. 6 --- 135.5#
Feb. 7 --- 133.6
Feb. 8 --- 133.5
Feb. 9 --- 133
Feb 10 ---132.3
Feb.11 ---132

Thank you all for your good wishes and encouragement.
It is exciting to be working on another challenge to preserving my health and life.
Just a favor. If anyone reads this and feels like replying, I would really love hearing from you...

DONI,

You are a kissing cousin from Missouri. Love that place!
And you are not doing so slouchy on your weight, either, in that great 20# club!

Thank's for your nice compliments. I have had such fun during my weight loss journey :drive:
I'll be watching as you go from one club to another until eventually you are there...at goal!

WTG!

MON. FEB. 12, 2007 - GOOD MORNING!

DAY 7 - MINI-GOAL: 130#
I guess I am losing a little faster than I expected to, but that is usual I think for the first week or so on the plan.
That is almost 4 pounds the 1st week which is pretty fast for 'slow-poke' me!
Anyway, I will need to go through the usual transistion/maintenance thing when I reach goal (whenever that is!) just as before in order to hold on to the new weight.
It actually makes me wish I had done that the first time around. But I suppose it is for the best this way---since that's the way it is, anyway.
Even at that, I have still added fruit and dairy and a small treat on Sunday.
My health is still number one priority! Thin is nice, but down the line!
I believe that 130# is a good, average weight for someone my height, (5'1") so that is my motive.
My BMI is really getting close to 'healthy' according to the charts. (25)

Here is my daily accountability report.
Feb. 6 --- 135.5#
Feb. 7 --- 133.6
Feb. 8 --- 133.5
Feb. 9 --- 133
Feb 10 ---132.3
Feb.11 ---132
Feb. 12---131.6

Thanks for your care & encouragement!

FEB. 13, 2007 -- RAINY OUTSIDE BUT WARM INSIDE!

131# - BMI 24.7 (Healthy!) - BP 106/65
Almost there, folks...without a set back, I should reach my mini-goal of 130# sometime this week, and then the challenge of maintaining that magic number.
Today, some tax work with HB, walk for 30 min with HB, keeping up with reading the Bible through this year, other important issues to take care of.
Retirement is nice, but where's all that extra time we are supposed to have?

Here is my daily accountability report.
Feb. 6 --- 135.5#
Feb. 7 --- 133.6
Feb. 8 --- 133.5
Feb. 9 --- 133
Feb 10 ---132.3
Feb.11 ---132
Feb. 12---131.6
Feb. 13---131

All for now...my friends!

Thank you, KARLI.
I think you are right about my body being ready to go down more.
I visited my doctor's office today on a couple matters, including my weight.
She gave me the nod to lose up to five more pounds, and was so pleased at my progress.
You are doing so good, girl. I tried to get caught up some on your journal and others, but not terribly successful.
So many are journalling I can't keep up. Isn't that great!

So onward I go, UNCA. Thank you for your sound advice. Always good to get medical advice.
'Course, I had already lost over 4 pounds, but she was okay with that! It does make me feel better to know I can do it safely.
Now, I basically want to get to 130# and if I go a little under, I should be able to maintain okay.
Never know until you try!
