I made it through the weekend. I am still going strong. Woo hoo. However, AF and the scale were pests this morning. Still holding strong at 200.6, but I am so bloated this morning.
On another note, I was doing my homework this weekendand it finally started to click. All that Algebra 2/ trig that schools try to teach you in high school finally clicked last night. I didn't understand it at all when I was a junior, but yesterday was a whole other story. That and it is an online based class so there is a tutor for every question. So much better than actually sitting in a class. hehehe.
But dd was a slight pain yesterday. She found the candy bucket that dh STILL hasn't taken to daycare. And she was crawling around with a candy in each handy. Then she was able to get it open. Oh goodness... that was a mess.
But my biggest complaint is AF... UGH. and the scale...Double UGH!

Its so nice when that happens. When I was in middle school I was in a pull out for the kids who didn't "get it". By the time I was a junior I finally made it to Geometry. When I was in college it clicked and I was the tutor... lol

Now I teach math and science. Who knew. :idontknow:

I think age and maturity has a part in mine. I hated school and vowed never to go to college. Well, I found a career field that I love and the only way to advance is to have at LEAST a bachelor's. So back in school I went...
Ok, so I kinda gave in today to my sister. And I don't know if I should have or not. We decided to fly home to CA (short hour flight) to see how dd reacted so that we would be prepared for a much longer flight to FL next month. It add's quite a bit of costs to my budget that I wasn't planning on. I think it's the right decision since it is close to a 6 hour drive that dd HATES, but I just don't know about the take off and landing. Any one with kiddo's have any idea's? She will be 9 1/2 and 10 months when we fly.

No ideas here, but I'll be wishing you luck if you wish me luck. We'll be flying nonstop from Vegas to Illinois next month with our two year old. It'll be his first flight. I'll just be praying for no tantrums in flight!

Good luck and God help us both!

ok, so I have my psych check up, and I have to have a full blood lab workup. Apparently she has been seeing higher triglyciren (sp?) levels with users of Seroquel, so I have to get my cholesteral levels checked and since the base never sent over my postpartum/post gallbladder surgery lab work, I have to get my thyriod and liver tested again. I hope that she doesn't switch meds on me b/c Seroquel has been the magic pill for me. But anyways back to the lab tests, I have to be on a complete fast for at least 12 hours before I go. I can't even have water. This is going to be tortue, I did a 24 hours fast before surgery and that was HARD!!!
Anyways, that is the newest news in my life. Yeah for blood work....

Best thing for babies during take off and landing is for them to be sucking. This will help their ears adjust to the pressurization of the cabin. A bottle is best because the swallowing action helps. Older children can chew gum which helps for the same reason.

Most babies I've been around on planes end up sleeping most of the time. The sound of the jet engine has a calming effect. Most moms have a bottle handy or nurse their babies at some point. The take off should be no problem, but I would make sure she's sucking on something when the plane starts to decend.
