Thanks guys :) I hope I have some good news and can just focus on looking good rather than feeling good.

Thanks for checking in Biki :)

Well, the MRI and angiogram were negative, every single test was negative. This is wonderful but still does not answer my questions about my dizzy spells and week-long headaches. The neurologist says they are migraines. I will accept that and stop obsessing.

Now for the diet. I decided to do WW until my belly settles down. I am still having issues with that. But alas, the veggies and fruits I need to eat on WW are giving me even worse problems.

It seems that the only time my stomach is happy is when I am eating pasta, bread and potatoes and weigh 3,000 pounds.

I know MF works, but the first 3 days are hell for me. I get really bad diarrhea and headaches for those 3 days, but then I am fine afterward. The whole time I was on MF my IBS was gone! But it is hard to get through those 3 days again, especially when I have t be at work and run around with a 2-year old.

Always a dilemma. And for now I have my elastic-waistband pants to wear. Ha!

Can you start on a weekend, or maybe even just take a few days off? Not from the 2-year-old, of course, but at least from work?

And btw, welcome back and I'm glad your tests were negative and you're OK.

Beth, glad that your tests turned out okay.

You know your body best and your work schedule....so you'll find a way to get yourself through those first 3 days. I remember you mentioning a couple times that you were miserable with bloating and other problems during MF, did that only occur if you went off program or are those things you have to deal with whether you are on the diet or not?

I do hope that you are able to work out a way to do the program. :)

I was eager to check in this morning to see if she's starting today (not pushing, just glad you are back with us!).

I hope, whenever you begin, that you'll not have bad side-effects.

I talked to one of the doctors I work with, and she thinks I may have diverticulosis, based on my symptoms. I have intense bloating and severe pain in my left lower abdomen, along with intermittent diarrhea and a feeling of fullness like I just ate a gallon of pasta. When I had my abdominal ultrasound last week, they could not even find my ovaries because my colon was so swollen that it was hiding my other organs.

I am going to make an appointment with my GI doctor and see what he wants me to do. MF might be the best (or worst) thing for me right now. I just don't know what to eat anymore to avoid symptoms. All I had today was Lipton soup and toast, and my belly still hurts.

I'll let you guys know what happens...the saga continues.

I think your first priority should be getting yourself feeling well...whatever foods, program or eating plan that your physician(s) suggest. Best wishes that you'll get some answers soon, your symptoms sound very painful.

I'm sorry you are having such a rough time physically. I hope your doctor can figure out a game plan for you so that you can be pain-free.

Ok, I saw the GI doctor. He thinks it might be diverticulosis, along with severe colitis. I have to avoid anything with any dairy in it, including MF, until I have another colonoscopy. I have to eat bland, boring, high-fiber foods until then.

Bleh.
