feedback on scrambled eggs?

Postby pilgrim » January 29th, 2007, 2:18 pm

Hi, this is Pilgrim from Florida. I am having trouble with my home computer so I am at the library now. I am a 38yr old wife/mom/pediatric nurse(night shift). I first went on Medifast july of 06 and lost 24 lbs in 2 months. I have been at a plateau since then. Haven't regained but still have 20 more to lose. :? I am having the hardest time staying on, and it is all mental. For me MF is freedom. I used to be very preoccupied with my weight. I had quite a few books on eating/dieting, but could never lose an ounce. Well, since MF those books went to my last yard sale! I know MF will help me control my weight for the rest of my life. How do people like the scrambled eggs? This forum is so helpful for me. Also, if there are any Christians on this forum, I would love to correspond with you.

Thanks for the support!!

Hi Pilgrim~ I haven't been brave enough to try the scrambled eggs, but I'm definitely thinking about ordering some.

I am also a Christian/40 years young/married/2 sons/middle school teacher.

I love the scrambled eggs... in fact I just had them as my last meal of the day. I love them scrambled or omelet style... add 2 tsp salsa fold over and sprinkle with Molly McCheese. A nice treat!!

Hiya Pilgrim.
Welcome. Scrambled eggs rock (but I've heard that people aren't as fond of them if they make them in the microwave). I think they work just great as regular old scrambled eggs. (little pepper and garlic and I'm set).

Hi Pilgrim. Glad you posted this question. I just ordered a box and am waiting to try them myself. Wasn't sure about them, but wanted to change things up a bit. :)

Dear Pilgrim ~

Just for clarification here - you say you have been 'plateaued' since sometime in September after a 24 pound loss...have you been on the 5 & 1 Program for 4 months and not lost any weight or have you been maintaining your weight in the interim and now are ready to get the final 20 pounds off?

Sometimes when people lose some weight, they feel better about themselves, get compliments from others and they don't feel quite as desperate as they were when they first got started on the program - there is not as much tension or pull towards reaching their healthiest best weight and they put their weight loss efforts on 'hold' - I used to do that every time and then never got back on track and lost sight of my goals.

It's great to have you here and we wish only the best for you!

Nancy, I think the answer is that they aren't staying on. Like you said, when you take freedoms after losing a bit, it gets hard to be strict to it. I find my biggest struggle is that I feel good about losing 5 lbs that I "reward" myself, and then I gain back the 5 lbs I just lost.
That's the big struggle, and I struggle with it everyday... like most of us do. Story of my life.
