Mike, it took me a long time to realize that I have a disease and it is not good for me to reward myself with food.

I am learning to appreciate the time spent with family and friends, the things I do with my hands and mind (what there is of it), a packet of seeds scattered in the yard, sharing DVDs with the neighbor kids, keeping the squirrel and bird feeders filled with seeds and peanuts, bringing RTDs and bars to a lonely diabetic lady in the country, afternoon visits and late evening phone calls to shut-ins, helping a divorcee getting back in the dating game select a cute hairstyle, watching a basket ball game with the fellows, going for rides on sunny days in Unca's red lotus, having my jeans still zip - these are my rewards...

It ain't easy. I do not always choose wisely but I am learnin' to do it right most days...you're making progress, Mike. You're are going to get there.

I just tried the eggs today and i love them! I ordered just one packet because I thought I wouldn't like it for sure. I stared them down for days in my pantry thinking, "Ehh, maybe I'll try them tomorrow." Well, I spayed a little pam and sweated some diced tomatoe, mushroom, bell pepper and onion then added the packet mixed with water. I sprinkle just a tiny bit of cheese on top of that and :bounce: IT WAS SOOOOOO YUMMY! I am definately reordering.

See....we wouldn't steer ya wrong!

Glad you liked them, Charity. Be careful with the extras...esp. cheese, as it is high in calories and fat. When you are in maintenance those things are part of the plan but for best weight loss success, use minimal extras.

Yes, extras are exactly what the Dr. wants you to stay away from. That's how we end up with the "extra" that we are trying to rid ourselves of.
If you need something "extra", try a couple of T of salsa or a few drops of some hot sauce.
I also add garlic and a little chili powder first to give it that extra umph, without the extra calories.
