drink your oatmeal?

Postby marla2005bear » April 6th, 2006, 2:57 pm

I saw a posting somewhere about someone drinking their oatmeal. Does anyone do that and if so any recipes?

Thanks! 8)

No, I think that was someone talking about making it with too much water by accident.

Is this the one?

Last night I decided to have a chocolate shake for my last supplement. I went to my box, pulled out a packet (out of the Chocolate Shake box, I swear!!), and dumped it in the blender. I thought it kinda made a thud when it fell in the blender but keep right on going. I poured in my water , ice, and a tad bit of toasted marshmallow (yum). While I was blending, I kinda thot the shake was a little pale... like vanilla.... but I had a tough week at work. When I poured it out, it didn't pour out as nicely as my normal shakes so I thot: 1) OK this is paler than normal chocolate, perhaps they put a vanilla shake in the box in error; 2) maybe I should smell it, perhaps there is something wrong with it.... smelled fine. So I sat down to drink it.

MARLA Girl,

Nancy can speak for herself, but I recall she has said that she sometimes makes the oatmeal very thin and drinks it while she gets all 'cutied up'. Main thing is to get that nourishment in.

Actually mine is on the thin side too, and I enjoy it that way. I ordered double oatmeals this last time, because I also love the oatmeal muffins and cookies.

Seems like I remember reading this thread, as well. I also remember seeing someone post about mixing the oatmeal in the blender and drinking. Might be a little easier to get down as opposed to just making it thinner than ususal.

OK, as much as I love the oatmeal these days, this just sounds repulsive to me.
