DON'T do this !

Postby PGL » May 16th, 2005, 7:48 pm

Hi everyone ! Happy Monday..you all are the greatest! Found out the hard way NOT to make up 3 batches at once in a container and refrigerate it to take meals out of throughout the day...thought I'd save time by mixing 3 packs of orange in a pint shaker, taking it to work and letting it refrigerate before I needed it every 2 -3 hours...WRONG...it got real thick and the flavor changed chemically or something...the texture was also really...well....just don't do it. Maybe someone has had success doing it that way, but I'll mix individually and drink immediately from now on..
Starting week 3 today, and sure did miss my chicken noodle !
Love ya'll,

another thing NOT to do

Postby MsApril » May 17th, 2005, 6:49 am

I have not tried that but i am glad you warned me, cause it sure sounds like something i would do .

I have found that if you leave the remains of a shake in a hot locked car all day with the lid on that the lid will EXPLODE off of your container and end up somewhere in the back seat !!!!!

I had to laugh when I read that MsApril........I have done the same thing. And boy...........did it smell bad. It took me a week to get my car to smell better.

that's gross!!! while we're discussing thermodynamics, don't put hot water and soap into a closed container and shake it. there's another big explosion (at least it's a clean one!).

Shaker Jar Rules:

1. Make sure the lid is very tight.

2. Shake it.

3. Drink it.

4. Rinse it right away.

5. If it spills, clean it up immediately...

I found a jar in the car; it had alien life forms dwelling inside.

The Surgeon General declared it a hazardous toxin...
