Doing a 6+0 plan for one day?

Postby ascicles » June 20th, 2006, 9:24 am

I have a really busy day today and will not have time to make a lean and green. Is it possible to just do a 6+0 for one day?

I am leaving work early today to catch the Carolina Hurricanes parade, so I will not have a chance to get home and eat.

Enjoy the parade - that was a great game last night - actually a great series. I'm a Sharks fan (since I'm from NE area Bruins are my second favorite -hee hee) but was cheering for Carolina!

Have fun!

I was there, and it was one of the most amazing things I've ever been a part of. I'm not married and I don't have kids, so it's pretty high on my list of best moments :-)

I'm so jealous. I was rooting for 'em, too, since those #%!%# Oilers beat my beloved Mighty Ducks.

Now if the MAVS would just pull out a couple of wins ...

Well, it was an absolutely incredible time.

One word of caution though...if you plan on standing in 95 degree weather for over four hours, make sure you have plenty of water and something to eat. Just in case, I brought a bar with me...and without it, I think I would have passed out. I got really dizzy after about three hours and I felt like I wasn't going to be able to stand for more than a few more minutes.

Fortunately I had the bar which helped a little...but I was still feeling pretty rough. I finally noticed a lady with a cooler and asked her for some water. She only had a can of pepsi...so I had no choice but to drink it. Ketosis or not, I really didn't care at that point.

After that I was fine...but it was a bit scary.

It was all worth it though to see the Stanley Cup up close. Plus, I was able to hear Peter Laviolette and Rod Brind'Amour give some really nice speeches. Last but not least, I was able to get a picture of myself being kissed (on the cheek) by Kristi Yamaguchi, who was a really nice lady. She is married to one of our players, Bret Hedican.

Hi

Isn't it the greatest experience Manly? I've been to two Av's celebration parades and it was just ELECTRIC! My boys riding around on firetrucks! I touched the cup! A highlight in life! I have a picture!

What a GREAT series! I am now in full-swing PHD (post-hockey depression). I'll get over it...IN SEPTEMBER!

Now, I got a wild hair and I might go visit Robin's town for the All-Star game! I've never been to an all star week and want to get there before my beloved Joe Sakic retires!

Thanks sounds really awesome. Rangers fan here, but happy your team got the Cup. And a kiss from Kristi, too!!!
