OK, today I'm up to 135.2. I KNOW I didn't gain 2 pounds of fat in a couple of days, but I'm still not happy and I don't know that I can stick with the 8-meal thing.

I think I'm going to scale back down to 7 meals and scale back on the workouts again. Sigh. At least until my DVDs come. Then maybe do the weights only a couple of days a week.

Maybe I should lower my goal weight a bit, so that once I reach it and start REALLY pushing the workouts, it won't bother me so much when I gain a few pounds. I just don't know, and I'm really frustrated right now. At the same time, I've FELT much better the past couple of days, since I increased my calories.

My other choice is to increase calories by increasing protein and fat, but leaving my carbs down. Maybe just add some L to my L&G.

And thanks, Ark. I just wish I knew what to do about this.

OK, I'm already back. I decided to go with my brain. I know I didn't gain 2 pounds of fat in 2 days, and it's obviously just water from the heat or the workouts. I need to give it more of a chance, so I'm sticking with my plan and giving it a full week no matter what the scale says. I have more energy than I've had in a couple of weeks, so that has to mean something. And I'm starting to see some muscle definition, finally.

So eight meals it is, and when I get home from work tonight I'll do my regular workout (I did a small cardio workout this morning, but that was it). And tomorrow I'm heading for the Y no matter what (OK, unless their A/C is broken or something; it's 105 out there).

134.4, so that's a little better, at least. Did a small amount of cardio yesterday (alternating marching in place with going up and down a step), then weights last night (upper body).

Today I'm going to the gym for cardio, and I'll do lower body at home.

Well, even with the weight still up a bit (but down from yesterday), I'm feeling better about adding that eighth meal. It's hard to eat so often, so I may double up once a day instead. But I have SO much more energy, I think it was definitely needed.

Today I:
Did a lower-body workout from FiTV
Finally went to the gym and did the fat-burning workout on the treadmill for half an hour
Got my Turbo Jam set, so I'm planning to try the introductory workout later on

All this despite the overwhelming heat outside. Considering last week I was so tired I could barely do more than just go to work everyday, I'm pretty happy.

Oh, please, Miss 40# club!! You're doing so well!!!

I'm off to have dinner and water the yard (now that it's past 6 and I'm allowed to). I can't believe how much more energy I have today.

And I was just watching a VH1 update on Celebrity Fit Club people. Gunnar Nelson eats every two hours, too. Starting with oatmeal in the morning.

Whew. OK, 133.4, and that's with some issues that might make it a bit higher than it should be.

Oh, nooooooooo. I'm down to my last two RTDs, which I knew was OK because my shipment was coming today.

Except they sent me three cases of VANILLA. I'd almost rather drink rat poison than the vanilla. I know it's just a mistake, but now I'm seriously screwed until they can get the right shakes to me.

134.2. Sigh.

Just as I got up this morning, the doorbell rang. It was my RTDs. YAY! (Of course, stupid UPS had called to tell me they'd pick up the other ones - at 8:30 this morning. So now they have to come back on Monday. Twits. I was sleeping, but if I were a day person, I probably would have already left for the day, anyway.)

And Tae Bo rules. I did Tae Bo Abs last nght and LOVED it. A friend said she has a regular Tae Bo tape around, so she's going to let me borrow it. I'll try it out before I rush out to buy more, but I LOVED it. Seriously.

They were just in time, too. I had my last one last night and was resigned to just going a day without them because of the mix-up. But yay! I have two in my cooler for tonight at work.

I've even been having some of the REGULAR shakes lately; how weird is THAT?? Not that I like them, but I don't hate them quite as much as I did. I've been having one as my last meal at night if I work out after I get home from work instead of earlier in the day (or in addition to earlier in the day).

I also feel better about the scale not moving since I increased my workouts and meals. I seem to have lost some fat around my lower abs AND my biceps are actually becoming noticeable (my arms are actually a bit BIGGER than they were, but I figure it's muscle so it's OK).

Oops. Ddin't get a chance to post this morning. Weight was 134.4, I think. Sigh. At this point I don't know whether to lower my calories back down or what. I'm thinking I'll try going back to seven meals a day and see wht happens on the scale and how I feel as far as energy.

At least I know for sure I'm building muscle and getting stronger. This started because I was bothered that I was having trouble lifting the 35-packs of water from Costco, which I used to lift easily before Medifast (when I was lifting weights). It had gotten so hard that I was buying water from the supermarket instead, because the cases are smaller. But today, I went to Costco and had no problem with them at all.

Thanks, Eddie. I'm slow, but I'm getting there.

Speaking of which, 134.4 today. I'm getting pretty tired of this. Sigh. Although I keeo telling myself, it's actually really GOOD that I've only gained 1 pound since adding all the exercise. And it's bound to start dropping again soon.

OTOH, I was going to take today off from workouts, but wound up doing the main part of Tae Bo Abs (the standing work; I've been doing at least part of the "bonus" floor work, too). Tonight I'm going to do my regular abs workout, too. I'm definitely seeing and feeling a difference in my midsection.

I can't wait for my other Tae Bo workout to show up. The basic one. It's a little longer and more cardio-oriented, which should be good. And some folks online were talking about making this one longer by just doing it twice back to back, so I think I'm going to try that tomorrow.
