Oh, me, too. I'm a total wuss. Someone here was just telling me how she did the Tae Bo Advanced workout and she barely broke a sweat. Meanwhile just the short abs DVD I've been doing has me drenched. Sigh.

This is the first thing I've ever actually WANTED to do, though. Usually I have to make myself. (And she brought me the original workout set on DVD - a copy, that is. The DVD I ordered from Amazon won't be here for a week or so. So you KNOW I'm going to wind up hooking up my VCR as soon as I get home tonight, so I can try it out tonight. I'm obsessed. But I figure I might as well strike while the iron's hot, and try to make it into a habit while I'm still so inspired. I'm expecting my natural laziness to come back anytime now.)

133.6, so I'm only 0.4 up from a few weeks ago. Woo hoo!!

I think I really need to take a day off from working out at some point to make sure my body's rested enough, but I'm really eager to try out the Tae Bo tape my friend gave me. It's a copy, so the quality is awful, but hopefully it's good enough to follow.

****

The site was down so long, I had to change what I was going to post! I did the introductory part (well, part of it because I got bored) and then did the basic workout. It was tough, but I got through it. I like the abs workout better, but I think this is better for cardio, so I'll do both (some days; others I'll alternate - I'm not crazy).

Well, shoot, I was all set to take a day off from workouts and let my body rest a little, but my Vertical Abs DVD came today. Sigh. So I'm doing my arms tonight, and that one tomorrow, and then the gym Wednesdayfor the treadmill and circuit training. And then ... Thursday will be my day off. Because it's not good to work out quite so much.

I can't wait to try the new abs workout, though. What in the world is WRONG with me lately???

:D it's nice to feel like you can do stuff, isn't it?

don't worry, you aren't the only one; at least you're sane about it. read my last entry and you'll get what i mean.

so... are you going to be posting photos of the abs when you've worked them for a while? just for motivation, of course. i'm sure lots of people on here will want to see....

Maybe, if you can ever actually SEE them. Right now they mostly just look like fat stomach with the bottom of my rib cage sticking out (and lemme tell you, it's the first time I've ever seen that, even when I was thin).

You're right, though. You don't see me taking hikes like the one you did a week or so ago. You, my dear, are WAY tougher than I'll ever be.

133.6 again, with a bit of a sandbox issue continuing. I wonder if I'm not getting enough fat sometimes. I don't use the fat we're allowed to add, and I don't add any to my chicken or veggies usually.

Or I could have a few sugar-free fruity Mentos. The sugar alcohols will probably fix me right up.

Yay. More progress on my recovery from the all-or-nothing mentality. So far I have not worked out at all today, and I'm determined not to do anything but watch TV when I get home, too.

And then tomorrow I'm going to the gym for the treadmill and circuit training AND doing Tae Bo Abs again. But my body needed a day to rest, and I actually managed to do it. Yay, me!

I knew it wouldn't last long. After my day off yesterday (and I ran out of time so I didn't have my eighth meal), I was pretty wiped today. And then got such a late start, I can't even get SEVEN meals in today, so I'm going with the basic five and one.

But after two false starts, I decided I absolutely HAD to get a workout in today, so I just finished Tae Bo Abs (minus the "bonus" floor part, but plus an extra exercise from Vertical Abs).

I'm going to look at it as another step away from all-or-nothing. It wasn't as much as I'd hoped to do today, but it wasn't nothing, either.

lol I am the opposite of you..I cant seem to get back into my treadmill routine. I slacked off when I started MF and now it has been 7 weeks and I still only walk sparringly on it. I keep telling myself to get back into it and I am hoping once the kids are back in school and I get up at a normal time again then I will be back on schedule!

No, that's how I was up until a month ago, too. I took a break from working out when I started, and it took me a YEAR to start again. Partly laziness, partly because I had a problem losing every time I tried to add exercise. (OK, but mostly laziness.)

I know. Woo hoo!!!! I think I'm going to try alternating the regular 5-1 and the extra meals instead of having them every day, and see how my energy level holds up. I'm also trying to clear out some of my older Medifast products, so I'm living on pudding and shakes and oatmeal right now. (I had chocolate pudding three TIMES yesterday. For some reason it just hit the spot.)

At this point I just want to see that number so I can focus on exercise and body fat instead. I have five weeks till my birthday, and I SO want to see that magic number by then.
