Almost forgot to add the day's exercise, for journal purposes. I did the 10-minute workout DVD, buns/thighs, arms/back and part of the abs one. It didn't seem like enough for the arms, though, so I'll do my regular weights workout either tonight or tomorrow morning. Maybe in the morning I'll do Tae Bo Abs and weights.

Darn it. I'm doing so well, committed to following the program strictly for a bit (to try to mix things up and keep the weight coming off) ... and my boss just asked me to go out to dinner with a job candidate. When I have a perfectly good salad with me that I was looking forward to having.

Sigh. I've eaten out before, of course, so I know I can be OK. But it's never quite as on-program as something you make yourself, you know? We just better go somewhere easy.

The bad news? It wasn't a very Medi-friendly place. I had blackened fish that I asked for with no butter, but I'm not sure it came that way. And then I had the "veggies," which turned out to be green beans swimming in grease. I did the best I could.

The good news? I got some nice walks in. Ten minutes there, 10 back, and then got to repeat it because I forgot to take the receipt for my boss.

Sigh. I'd rather have had my yummy salad.

133.2. Not bad, considering. Hopefully it'll drop right back off and is just salt from last night's dinner (which is highly likely; I forgot to mention how salty the green beans were, and I'm sure the blackening had plenty of salt, too).

At least tonight I can have my salad. I've been craving it since yesterday.

Yipes. I figure I did the best I could, given what was available. I had the lowest-fat thing on the menu, and asked for it with less fat. I had veggies and got as much fat off them as I could. I had them hold the rice, and I didn't even consider eating the garlic bread that came on the plate. And it was definitely not emotional eating in any way, which I refuse to do anymore. I just made the best of a bad situation.

As for my workout log, today:
Tae Bo Abs
Weights for upper body
Yet another standing abs exercise I found - 50 each side

And I'm out of control. I found another DVD set that sounds promising and has tons of standing abs work. Found it for less on eBay and ordered it, so I hope it comes soon. I'm thinking of selling the Turbo Jam set to my cousin or the used-DVD place or something.

133.2 again. Yesterday I did a perfect 5 and 1.

Today's workout plan:
Tae Bo Basic
8 Minute Buns
8 Minute Legs

Hey there :D

I love Tae Bo! But guess what? They say it can burn off up to 800 calories in a 45 minute workout! So your body might go into starvation mode and keep you from getting to your goal. (WHich is so close! Congrats!!!)

I know that. That's why I increased my calories awhile back. I'm lowering them again to see if it helps. (There's also no way I'm burning 800 calories doing either of the Tae Bo workouts I've been doing, even adding in my other workouts.)

132.2. I also got a Tanita scale that also checks body fat and water. I'm using the old scale for weight, though, because the new one is not only heavier but it seems to vary more (sometimes I'm 0.4 higher, sometimes I'm 1.6 higher). The body fat seems to change every time I step on there, too. I'm thinking of taking it back, since I don't know how useful it's going to be.

It says check at the same time every day, but today I stepped on, then waited maybe a minute and did it again, and the body fat percentage had changed.

The good news is it's shown it in healthy range every time. Although much hgher than I'd like it to be.

Anyway, yesterday I ended up doing part of Turbo Jam Cardio Party to see if I liked it any better (not really) plus some extra abs work. So today I'm back to Tae Bo, which I actually DO like. I think the standing abs workout is still probably tough enough for me to count as fat-burning cardio, so I'll stick with that one a little longer. Plus I'll add the lower-body stuff I didn't do yesterday.

Still 132.2. Tummy (upper and lower) has gone down half an inch since last week, which is good.

Perfect 5-1 compliance doesn't seem to be making any real difference so far. As I expected.

Oh, and workout today: I'm about to do my weight training. Tomorrow's going to be my day off, since I have to be out of the house extremely early (for me, anyway). I won't even record my weight, since I'll only have a few hours of sleep.

Sheesh. I feel so guilty about "only" doing weights (but I really didn't do the full workout even; I was feeling a little puny) that I'm going to do Tae Bo Abs as soon as I get home and feed the dogs.

This is weird. Even for obsessive-compulsive me.
