Holy crap!!! I have to go back and check in an hour, because that's my routine (I'm always lower an hour after I get up), but I'm already at 133.6!!!!

I'm thinking maybe I shouldn't go to the gym today, after all, since apparently whatever I'm doing is working pretty darn well. So maybe I'll wait till Wednesday, when I'm off and have more time, and just start doing my weights there.

Well, still slower than average, but I seem to be settling into a nice clip of just over a pound a week. I'm happy with that, considering how close I am (funny that it's gotten faster toward the end, though).

I definitely don't need a treadmill today, though. I've been dancing since I got up!!

Up just a tad today (134.0), but I'm having yet another sandbox issue, so I'm fine with that. I actually think it's not an issue and maybe is just more a new pattern.

Anyway, today's workout will be upper body. I'm doing kind of a three-day rotation for now: upper-body strength training, lower-body strength training, cardio. With abs work every day. Eventually I'll increase the cardio and do it more often.

Nothing else to report. It's hot and humid lately, but I'm encouraged that the horrible Texas summer isn't as long as I was led to believe, since it hasn't been all that bad till now.

Girl..someone is sooo pulling your leg!! hehe actually the Texas summers aint as bad as Georgia ones..or so I have been told.

I spent one summer outside of Houston and down on Galveston Island once and it was plenty hot then!

The good news is it's not normally near so humid here. I spent a horrible weekend in Houston once because it was so miserable. Apparently the humidity here right now is way above normal.

I thought it'd be really hot for like six months out of the year. But I got here last September, and it cooled off sometime in October. And this year it's only just now getting really hot. So I'm encouraged.

I'm also adjusting somewhat. I know in Utah, I had a blanket over me in the suite most of the time, when no one else seemed cold. And seemelose was sweltering after I turned the A/C off.

133.8.

Didn't get a chance to do my weights yesterday morning because my cousin called just as I was about to start, but yay for me because I did them when I got home from work instead.

Already got today's workout out of the way, so I'm set.

And I found the Turbo Jam DVDs on eBay for about the same price that QVC was charging, so I went ahead and ordered it (since QVC said it was wait-listed and I might or might not get it in 45 days). Turns out my cousin had also heard rave reviews about it, so she's waiting for me to try it out first. I'm excited, though. The current plan is to use weights at home and do cardio at the gym for a week or two, then to switch if I like the DVDs and do cardio at home and weights at the gym (since by then I'll need heavier weights).

I have thought about Turbo Jam. I have Yoga Booty Ballet and I love it. I think I like it so much because it is so much like dancing, and my kids like to do it with me. I don't want something that I will be shooing them out of the room while I do it. Let me know how it goes!!

I'll definitely report back. A couple of people in the gym area of the forum recommended it very highly. I'm especially excited about the abs workout. It's all standing up, apparently, which is good because I have so much trouble doing ab work on the floor. I always strain my neck and back.

I looked online and people just RAVE about it. Usually there are some negative comments mixed in, but not this time.

Ugh. 134.0, but that probably has something to do with the major stomachache I woke up with. I don't think I'm making it to the gym today.

I have a couple of errands to run, and then I'm just going to curl up on the couch and wait for it to go away.

More or less, thanks. I stuck to mostly shakes all day, skipped the gym (again!!) and just ran my errands and came home to relax. I think I'm probably just tired or something.
