It would have been hilarious, except for having a rat living in my ceiling. I finally moved out because they just kept moving the thing back and forth instead of calling an exterminator.

135.6. Nothing else to report, other than my tummy muscles hurt from my workout yesterday. And I didn't join the gym because it was getting late and I wanted to head home. Which turned out to be a good thing, because we had a HUGE storm right after I got back, so I missed all the flooding, was inside for the dangerous lightning and was able to comfort my petrified pooches.

New plan is to head over on Saturday with my workout clothes, so I can join AND hit the treadmill for a bit.

Oh your poor poochies. Mine are cowering in the corner because of the dust storm we're having. Have fun with the gym hard-sell on Saturday!

135.2, so I seem to be dropping back down. Yay.

And thanks, DeDe. Although I don't think they do any kind of hard sell at the Y. It's the closest gym to me and I have a friend who works out there, so that's where I'm going to go. No long-term contracts or anything, just $75 to join and a monthly fee. And the one by me is pretty huge, with an indoor pool and everything. Although all I really want is the treadmills, the weights and maybe a session with a personal trainer at some point.

oooooooo.... I love the "Y". That is the only place I would choose to workout (but would probably settle for other places if I had to). I love the family atmosphere and there are all different types of people there so I feel quite comfortable as...well, me, when I am there. Also there are huge varieties of things to choose from, including fitness classes if you are ever into that. Keep up the great work :).

Turns out they have a great deal at my work. The paper paid the membership fee, and for the same dues I'd pay at just the Y near me, I was able to get a membership to all the Y's in the area. I just had to sign up at the one across the street from the office, so I just did that and I'm good to go. And the money will come out of my paycheck every month. Cool!!

So now the only question is do I need to add yet another meal since I'm working out more. I do seem to have slowed down or stopped again, but I think I'm going to give it a little more time, since I just got back into town. And I was as good as I could be at the convention, but the food wasn't terribly Medi-friendly. So I'll give it a little more time. Because I think if I have to eat yet another meal every day, I'm going to have to double up somewhere.

Well, shoot. I kept telling myself I would sign up today, and that way I'd be ready to go on Saturday. ... Except I just realized TOMORROW is Saturday!!! I thought I had a couple more days.

Oh, well. I'm going. And everyone, please yell at me if I don't. I'm still lifting my weights at home, but I want to go and reacquaint my legs with the idea of walking.

135.6 again. Sigh. But I know it's the weights - I can actually see a waist emerging.

And ... errrrrrr ... it's 1 p.m. and I'm not even dressed and I have a friend coming over in two hours, so, well ... I think I'm just going to do my weights and try again tomorrow. I was on the phone with my aunt and then my brother till now. Sigh.

Tomorrow before work. Really. It'll probably be less crowded then, too.

Hee. I'm planning to get the gym about 1, so I can go, work out and head home to get ready about 2:30 (and eat before I go, of course).

The good news is, I just weighed again (I know, I'm an addict) and I was 135.0. I'm NEVER lower during the day than I am in the morning, so I think I'm actually lower than the scale's been saying.
