WORKING NIGHT SHIFT AND ON MEDIFAST, HELP!!!

Questions/Comments about Weight loss Products.

You have received great advice already. Isn’t the MakeMeThinner Forum Family wonderful??

Sometimes trying to adjust to changing work schedules can be a bit of a challenge but it is not impossible.

Since many people do have unyielding break times, getting in the water and the ensuing trips to the BR can be the greatest challenge for many.

Preparation is the key – have your Medifast meals planned in advance and prepared in advance. Begin your daily schedule upon awakening – have the first meal of the day (preferably oatmeal or a shake) within the first hour of getting up and then space the remainder of the meals every three hours. Sometimes you may need to have them closer together as has been mentioned. Just do not go longer than 4 hours between meals. Since you are so active and have long work days, be sure to use the Medifast 70 shakes, if possible.

When I was still working at the college, I often drank my shake on my way to and from the BR out of necessity. As soon as I had a clearer path to the BR, I upped my water intake. Water is essential and yet some workplaces and work schedules don’t allow much time for the mad dashes down the hall to use the sandbox. Try to make up for it later when you get home or on your days off. It isn’t ideal, but it will make it possible to stick to your program. There is no other weight loss program that allows you to safely and quickly lose weight.

As your work shift changes, just keep to the pattern of having your first Medifast meal beginning within the first hour of awakening and then eating every three hours thereafter. If your day is very long, you may actually end up having a 6/1 or a 7/1 meal plan. Some days you may have all Medifast meal replacements (like 6 or 7) and no Lean ‘n Green meal and then go to the 5/1 when it’s your day off.

Allow me to answer your question about the RTDs and to make a few comments here…the Fit! RTD is the same formula as the regular RTD. The RTD shakes are shelf stable and do not need refrigeration – ‘though for some, they taste better chilled.

I personally prefer the Vanilla RTD un-chilled and I like the French Vanilla RTD better than the regular powdered Medifast 55 French Vanilla Shake. It seems more concentrated and creamier than the mix-it-yourself powdered shakes.

The Dutch Chocolate RTDs evidently are on temporary Back Order and they are being substituted with the Chocolate Fit! RTD.

I have some customers who swear they prefer the flavor and texture of the Fit! Chocolate RTD over the regular Medifast Dutch Chocolate RTD and yet they are the identical formulation…It is amazing how quickly something can be placed on Back Order and I am not always made aware of it. I placed some orders early one morning for some 55 Dutch Choc RTDs and then an hour or so later, they were being substituted with the Fit! Chocolate RTDs…BTW, RTDs are available in two flaves only: French Vanilla and Dutch Chocolate; the Fit! RTD is available only in Chocolate so far.

When the Fit! Products go on sale, we always buy them – virtually the same formulations as the regular line of Medifast products – they just come in a different package – the box has cartoony type kids on the box – I just pretend I’m a kid again when I slurp ‘n burp my shake!

Thanks 24K for checking the ounces. Okay, so I'm not missing 3 ozs today! That's great. I'm not really into the RTD thing right now as I really like my shakes with lots of ice and blended. Yum! I ordered them to see if I want to use them on our road trip in a few weeks.<img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/7/7_2_127.gif' alt='Cruisin' border=0> I'll probably order a bunch when the time comes to make it that much easier.

Nancy, thanks for noticing.

I do hope I make it there soon. I'm having a hard time this evening. I'm just getting a bit tired, emotionally that is. It's hard to look into the furture to see how far I need to go. I have lost over 100 lbs twice in the last 7 years, so I know it takes a lot of time and patience. But it's still hard. :x Sorry guys, I'm just in a bummed mood. :(

It DOES take a long time and a LOT of patience. No one can do it for us; we must do it ourselves. The victory belongs to YOU.

I felt so pleased and so proud of myself this weekend when I stood on the stage at the summer conference. There were some people who have regained some of their weight. I was happy to see my clients and Health Advisors and for them to see me wearing my size 4 red leather pants. Because I can!

I am really proud of myself - keep going for your goal, too - only you can do it and only you will understand the sense of pride that comes from working hard. Discipline and self-love will earn you the privilege and the honor of reaching your goal. Confidence, self-esteem, good health – there is no price to put on it and it is all yours for the taking when you choose the happy and healthful way right now. With every shake you take, you are becoming who you were meant to be!
