What can I do to kick start the weight loss again?

Postby gillian » April 20th, 2006, 10:17 am

ARRRRRRRRGGGGGGG!!!!!
My scale is stuck at 214.8. Well, it is not the scale, because I put the kids on it and they weighed correctly... So, I am stuck. Is there something I can do to get it going again? I wont make my July goal if it stays like that...

How long have you been stalled? I wouldn't be too concerned unless it's 2-3 weeks.

You also have to remember that Easter was just a few days ago...so it will take a few days to get back into weight loss mode if you cheated.

I would really try to avoid goals of specific times. If you follow the plan perfectly, it is a little unfair to yourself to feel like you failed when you didn't hit a goal.

Hi there---what works best for me is increasing my water and cutting out all snacks like crackers, jello, etc. I also skip my lean & green once in a while & just have an extra shake or two (making that 6-7 for the day). I wish my plateaus were as short as yours... Mine last about 13 days sometimes. Ahh!

I'm not sure if I read a previous post correctly--about having 2 shakes & a lean & green? If that's ALL you're having, it's not enough. It's important to get all 5 of your MF meals in each day, along with your lean & green, so that you are getting enough. When you have all 5, you are getting all the essential vitamins & minerals you need each day. Also, since this is already a very low calorie program, if you don't have all your MF's or cut back too much, it can slow down your weight loss as well. So make sure to have them all! :D

I'm like Becky - my plateaus last 2 weeks sometimes -

...but what keeps me going is KNOWING that Medifast works - even if I lose a little slower than other people.

I'm still thrilled that I have lost almost 60 lbs. since last summer - and I know if I hadn't found Medifast, I would definitely be sitting here 60 lbs. heavier, if not more.

Trust the program and stay focused!

ARK

Postby gillian » April 22nd, 2006, 11:45 pm

Very cool ARK. We can go to the pool together before the end of summer... I am aiming for hot as well. I say healthy- but I am truthfully kinda vain... So, the going from a size 24 pants to an 18 20- I feel pretty hot. (and getting HOTTER!!!) I LOVE IT!! We will get those special cone boob things she wears, and go dancing around, we will get ASCICLES in a skirt, and some nipple tassels- and we will ALL be HOT! Of course, DOGMA will be in the trench coat, and Nancy in the BECKY FORBIDDEN LEATHER SKIRT!!! SHHHHH!!!! DON"T TELL BECKY!!! :) (Any questions about what the heck I am talking about- see the dreaded CRACKER DEBATE) :)

Oh! The scale finally moved- down two more. Hooray!!!!
