It's true! Tastes really DO change!

Well, when I first tried a little taste of my hubby's MF chili, I turned my nose up and said "no thanks"...I even hated the smell.

Well, yesterday, I decided to simmer some chili for hubby so he'd have something when he got home. (he always picked the beans out, because they were too hard, because he refused to simmer it for a little while to let them soften) Anyway, as it was simmering, I noticed the smell of the chili was VERY similar to the smell of the ministrone (which I had just tried that day and loved it.) SO, I asked hubby to let me taste it. I thought, "hmmm, that's not bad". SO, I decided to try it for lunch today. Well, let me tell you, I LOVED IT! (simmered 15 mins over med heat, 6oz water, onion and garlic powder, beef bullion). Crunch up some mf crakers in there and OH BOY...what a treat!

The moral of this story...Yes, tastes really do change. SO, if you hated something before, give it another shot or two. Tweak it with some ideas here on the Lean Cuisine forum. That medifast meal that you used to hate just may become a new favorite :)

That was me with the Oatmeal. Hubby liked it and I wouldn't go near it no matter how it was doctored up. Now I like just plain out of the packet maybe a little extra cinnimon. Maybe I will try the cookies again since they just didn't do it for me before :)

That was me with the pudding, which is now my favorite thing. Although I still can't stand the shakes.

It's amazing isn't it?! Same for me with the pudding ... never thought it would happen. Hmmm, maybe I should try the oatmeal again.

I've only had the oatmeal as a cookie, because I'm not a fan of regular oatmeal. I haven't even had the cookies in months, for some reason. But lately it's been so cold and damp here, I've been thinking about trying the oatmeal as oatmeal.

Maybe some other oatmeal-hater can try it first.

DogMa - I'm with you - I HATED the pudding at first and traded them all away. Now I love them!

It is very odd how your tastes change. Why is that?

When I get off this program - please don't make me eat canteloupe or brussel sprouts - I KNOW my tastes didn't change for those!
