Yeah the water is very important. So far I have had 4 16.9 oz bottles and one unsweetened tea w/ 1 sweet n low (I gotta watch usage of sweet n low's, I get headaches if used too much). I still have 4 bottles of H2O with me for the rest of the work day which ends at 630pm for me.Then i will probably have 2 or 3 more before bed.
And yes I am keeping the times that i eat.Just didnt write them down.

It will be:

7:00AM
wake up, exercise on my elliptical for 15-20min to start, shower get ready for work.

8:30AM
drink a shake

9:30AM
Work Begins

11:30AM(first morning break)
bar

1:30PM(my lunch break)
soup

4:30PM(last break)
oatmeal

6:30PM
Work Ends

7-7:30PM
Lean and Green Meal

9-9:30PM
Pudding or Hot Drink

I hope this plan does me well. I feel confident in it. Just cant wait to start seeing the scale drop and my pants get loose.

Thanks for the encouragement ladies!!!

It's kinda funny but I feel a little better eating this way. I will be adjusted in a couple of days, but I just feel better without all the crappy food in my system. I think I will hold off on the scale for a few days. But I will definitly weigh in on Sunday along with everyone else. Thanks for the cheers!!!

I forget whether you are a Medifast virgin or not, but I might go ahead and weigh tomorrow. My FIRST day on Medifast the first time I dropped 6 pounds in 24 hours. Of course much of that was bloat but what a loss!!! Do what feels best, but the best advice I can give is weigh ONCE a day if you must weight daily. First thing, after you tinkle and in your skivvies. What NOT to do is weigh 5-6 times daily. It will drive you crazy. The reason I like to weigh daily is that it shows that even doing the right things, my body fluctuates. We retain water for all sorts of reasons, hormonal, sodium levels, exercise etc. So when I have a gain or I stay the same for a few days, I don't beat myself up. Too much.

Yes, I am a Medi Fast Virgin.I will weigh tomorrow morning...it cant hurt.
So far I have liked everything.I am eating the beef stew right now.Not bad at all, just needed a pinch of salt.I am not a salt person at all. I havent weighted myself everyday in quite a while. But usually I am an avid every mornign weigher. I agree it keeps you on track...gotta go invest in a new scale b/c mine showed a 10lb difference from the doctors scale. Its old...but until i do I am keeping it the way I am tracking it now...I also have to do the measurements too...fun fun!!! LOL...soon I will enjoy that. Thanks for the advice Biki.

I like all the oatmeal as is. As I have stated before, it reminds me of childhood food and is rather comforting...

Taan,

When you first start MF, it takes a bit of time for your taste buds to adjust. Give it a few days or a week and things will start tasting better....after all of the refined sugar is out of your system.

I love the oatmeal as is, but at first it tasted off to me.

Hi

Postby dede4wd » December 26th, 2006, 10:03 pm

Took me about 3 weeks to get "into" the oatmeal, but now I LOVE it and have it every day! I don't have blueberry every day, but a couple of times a week for a different taste.

DAY 2

So i went ahead a weighed myself. It showed a 5lb difference from yesterday. However, I really was stuffed Monday night so I wonder if that caused me to be a smidge heavier when i weighed yesterday morning. But anyhoo...thats good.I went through my closet last night and looked at all my clothes in it that i have worn in the past or the few inspirational pieces I have bought within the last year. Made me excited that I will be in them soon enough.

Serendipity and Dede- I agree with you both, I will adjust to the taste of the oatmeal. I remember last year when I switched to low sugar instant and it took me a week or two adjustment for that...So I know I will start to enjoy it more.I think the texture is a little pasty right now. But thats okay...it'll stick to my ribs (I heard that from my dad about oatmeal all the time, while growing up-LOL). I wound up having a chicken salad from Wendys for dinner, w/my own dressing (Kraft Zesty Italian-2 tbsp.)No croutons.

Today is as follows:
8am-Choco shake
11am-Carmel Nut Bar
1-2pm-Tomato Soup
430ish-Apple Cin. Oatmeal
7-730ish-maybe my chicken stir fry with mushies and broccoli(kikoman terriyaki sauce okay???)
9ish- Chai Latte

Ask an expert about the teryaki but I know it has sugar. When I did Atkins I made my own with soy sauce, ginger and splenda.

I just wanted to say HI! I'm so glad you've joined us and are getting started. I remember very well how if felt that first week. So excited and nervous. All the food tasted funny to me the first two weeks. I think part of it is the soy and part of it is the lack of salt and sugar. You will definately get used to it. Things that I hated at first I can eat now easily and some I never grew to love. Anyway, congrats and good luck.

Hey jlman79-

Hi  to you too! I agree it will just take a little while before it tastes a little different. I had the apples and cinnamon oatmeal today and added soem cinnamon on top of it.It was okay. And besides I just keep thinking about my clothes getting loose and the scale dial dropping down. All good things come to those who wait. I am just takin it one day at a time. So far so good.

Thanks for the suggestion Biki, I looked on the recipe and found a few terriyaki sauce recipes.

Well today isnt bad at all.I have a smidge of a headache but more discomfort than achy. I just keep imagining my stomach shrinking inside. Its a good visual for me right now. Probably gonna have a chicken salad again tonight.I have to run and get a scale so it is quick and easy. And I will probably weigh myself in the morning...it can be rather addictive but like you said Biki, keeps you on track.

Hope everyones day went well...

Hey Deb!

Sounds like your day went well considering the detoxing goin' on that's causing your headaches. Just remember your body is getting into ketosis and is starting to burn that fat! It makes it all worth it. Keep up the great work, and keep visualizing yourself at goal! We here cheering you on! :cheermed:
