Good morning! Today begins my 22nd Day of Compliance! It also happens to be my WI day - - I like doing my WI's on Friday, it seems a nice way to wrap up the week. Well, my official WI, that is - - cuz I weigh every day, often more than once :). This time I am determined to keep that multiple-weighs-a-day mindset once I reach my goal! That seems to be my downfall. I think if I don't look, it isn't *really* happening - - yeah, right! Just another thing I'm kinda mental :nutz: about!

So this is Week 3 and I'm down 1.2 pounds! Total lost is 12.6 giving me an average of about 4 pounds a week so far - - I'll take it!!!! Any ounce I lose is OK with me! So, my three week totals are:

W1 -7.6
W2 -3.8
W3 -1.2

Like I said, I'll take it - I am thrilled to be back to this! I *really* want this weight off for the wedding - - its so far been the absolute best motivator to get my butt back OP and sticking to it! Visions of a fat bride dance in my head and make me run from food :)

Well, I think I am back on track with my water intake. I'm not keeping up with the total intake. Instead, I only measure the first four bottles I drink (Actually, I leave them on the counter and dont put them in the recycle bin till there are four of them :) - - that's my 'lazy girls method' of counting :) ). Once I have four bottles down I know I've met my goal so I no longer keep up. But, water, water w/ infusers and espresso are the only things I'm drinking these days so I know I'm wayyy above.

I suppose I should get to work - as much as I'd love to do something else today cuz its raining and chilly out!

Hope everyone has a terrific weekend!!

TTFN!

Tell me about the water intake. I am insane with it. I bought 4 of the water bottles from Dicks. The reusable ones. And I fill all 4 of them in the first of the morning. Which equals 1 gallon. Usually I do get all of them in. Sometimes I will only get 3 to 3 1/2 of them. Since I have a lot of weight to lose the more water I drink the more weight I lose..

I love my bottles.

Today is my 26th day of compliance and I am down 13 pounds on the nose! I'll take it, for sure!!

I've been doing *really* well with my water intake but I gotta tell you that I am THIRSTY ALL THE TIME! What's up with that??? I thought you were supposed to be thirsty when you were lacking in water intake. There is no way I am lacking in the water department and I've eaten nothing salty. Heck, today I've only had a bar and a latte. Hells bells, that reminds me, I think its time to eat :) I have a challenge with that sometimes becasue I'm not often hungry. Its hard to eat when you're not hungry - let alone remember to eat!

Other than the thirst, I'm having sand box issues! I bet I'd lose 4 pounds if I could go :| It's a terrible thing - - why does this happen? I thought MF was supposed to be good for the body :)

Wellllllll, after reading and being inspired by OKgirl's mini-marathon posts I did the unthinkable -- well, for me anyway - - I got up off the couch and went to the treadmill and <GASP> :o (I need a gasp emoticon) - I worked out! My goal today was to see how far I could go in 20 minutes and to set that as a baseline for myself....

So, I only went 1.2 miles in 22 min BUT that was 1.2 miles more than I went yesterday - or the day before - or the day before..... :) It gives me a place to start. I walked some and jogged some and hope to work up to jogging more and walking less.....like the eating plan, one day at a time and at least Day One is behind me!

Glad to know I could help you out! Seriously, though that is exactly where I started. My first goal was to get in a mile in under 20 minutes-really it was. The treadmill was a great help to me in the beginning, but now I like going outside to run. Congratulations on the wedding and have fun dress shopping!

Thanks for the encouragement and for sharing your journey! There is absolutely NO PART of me that wants to be able to run a mini-marathon. However, I would like to be able to run long enough and far enough (I dunno what that translates to yet in miles) to tone, assist the weight loss process, get health benefits and assist in the long term maintenance of my weight. I don’t do the gym - - they make me incredibly self conscious! Maybe cause I dunno what I’m doing but I’d much rather be in private. Which is why I bought the treadmill in the first place.

My county recently opened this very long and very very nice walking/running/bike trail and one of the entrances to the trail comes right up to my development. I’ve walked that a few times but I look forward to the day when I can set out on a jog. My soon to be step-daughter runs cross country. I’d love to be able to run with her without getting left in the dust (she’s a teenager :) ).

Anyway, thanks for sharing! I look forward to someday being able to do 3-5 miles without it taking me 6 hours :) LOL

Good Morning, Ladies (I don’t think we have any gents at this point?):

Today begins my 27th Compliant Day and I am down 15 pounds! That’s a full pound over night - - wow! Love it when that happens! Hate it when it goes the other way though, lol. That was a great thing to see on the scale after my first work out :treadjog: . Makes me think it was worth it - - I really wish I *liked* working out! Sometimes its just dang hard to stay on the treadmill because I am so bored! I’m going to keep at it though.

Well, there’s nothing much going on here outside of the norm. I’ve just finished my chocolate crunch bar and a latte and I’m about to finish my first bottle of water. It is a very quiet morning and frankly, I could go back to bed without issue – except I’m supposed to be working – LOL. So I suppose I’d better get to it :whip: !

Maybe the scale fairy will be nice to me again tomorrow morning! One can always hope!

TTYL!

Hey, Susie. Just wanted to chime in here. I'm the world's WORST runner, even after a couple of years of trying, but one place to start would be the Couch to 5K program. A lot of people have had a lot of success with it.

I did it several years ago, and worked up to jogging 30 minutes at a time. Only problem was I was so slow that I wasn't anywhere close to going 5K in that time. I'm thinking about trying it again now that I'm faster and more in shape. Here's the link: www.coolrunning.com/engine/2/2_3/181.shtml

One workout at a time, that is the way to go. When the weather is nice I would take advantage of the outdoor walking trail. I had a big problem with going to the gym because I was afraid people would see me. Also, I had to overcome the fact that where was I running was where the school football, soccer, and baseball teams (all of which contained many of my students) were able to watch my big ol' booty walk/trot. I started at 228, so that is a BIG booty. It was really hard, but then the kiddos (I am a teacher) would tell me they saw me exercising and thought it was great that I was working out I felt a little better. I stayed confined to the treadmill in my house for sometime. I remember watching Michael Jackson's funeral while trying to get in three miles. Now, they want me to come running with them for cross country practice (that isn't happening they do like 5 minute miles or something crazy like that). As far as running far distances, that really wasn't my initial goal, but the more I ran the more I wanted to run. I am really trying to get down to 125 and then I am going to start maintenance. I didn't lose much from the beginning of November to the end of December, but I didn't gain anything. I was jogging/walking 3-5 miles three times a week with the occasional spin class and cross training class thrown in. I was exercising 5 times a week and not really behaving myself with food, so just keep that in mind when you get closer to goal. If I would been in complete compliance for that time period-I would have hit 125 this month.

Thanks everyone for stopping in!! I must shamefully admit that I haven't been on the treadmill since the day I last posted :(. This has ended up being hell week for me......TOM came, my PC totally died and it took me two days to get back up and on a new PC, my daughter - who has wonderfully thick and long to her butt hair - decided to cut it herself - - right in the front and right to the scalp -- but only a section in the front, the rest was left as-is <sigh>. So, I let the work outs slide. I DID stay OP, however......working out is something I despise - lol. It will always be the first thing I let go of....terrible, I know. I wish I knew how to overcome my distaste for it. If I *really* thought I would lose weight faster I would be alllll over it.....<sigh> I'm going to try again, I'm not giving up. Maybe I need to read OKgirls journal again :)

I am down another few pounds and without a computer I didnt really add up how much I lost this week. However, I am down 15.4 pounds after 29 completed OP days. My goal for the first month OP was 15 pounds so I'm there! I have two more OP days to add to it too and hope I can add a little more :)

OK, I'm off to visit journals and see what y'all have been up to and hope your week was better than mine :)

Great job #15 in one month! Sorry to read about your daughter's hair cutting job on herself and hope that is fixable.

Hope you have a good week

Good Morning, All :)

Well, today begins the first day of the second month of the program for me. I lost15.4 pounds my first month and I'd SO LOVE to have another 15 pound month. Something tells me I am going to have to work for it though :)! I haven't dropped a single ounce since my WI on Friday and I have been perfectly compliant. :| I did have major migraines  over the weekend and wonder if my body can only fight one thing at a time? Anyway, I'm hoping to see the scale drop again sometime soon.....?....?.....please? :)

I changed my mini-goal ticker to track my next goal - - which is to get into the 30# club! Gosh it would be great to do that this month!!! It's a short month so I dunno but I am going to work hard!

Last month I made water a goal and I'm drinking so much water now that I dont even bother counting. This months goal, in addition to the new club, is focusing on my work outs! I read about the running program that Robin mentioned and gosh, it sounds do-able! It seems like it was written for the anal-inclined folks like me too! I LOVE that it tells me how often, how much and how long! That rocks, I'm going to give it a try!! I noticed it was only 3 days a week so I think I might do pilates the off days. Once upon a time that was the ONLY work out I enjoyed! I even think I could easily do that one in ;) the morning but I'm not going to push it - - working out is my goal, I'm not going to force myself into a particular time slot :)

Question for you keto-sticks girls - - what color am I supposed to be? I thought I had heard that MF wasn't restricting enough carbs to really measure on those sticks but several of you kept talking about your purple color. I bought some sticks and I'm measuring at moderate -- which is in the middle and I wouldn't call it purple?? I KNOW I have to be in ketosis -- I thought maybe it was my time of day so I tried again this morning but got the same result.....I don't wannt be moderate, I wanna be high!!! :x LOL

OK, bar is done, latte is done, guess its time to grab some water and get to work!
