Sunday Morning Roll Call, October 23, 2005

Postby mytime » October 23rd, 2005, 4:06 am

Good Morning EVERYONE ! Hope everyone had a terrific week. It is SOOO nice to see all the new people joining and less and less of those that have been around awhile. Several of us have become Health Advisors this month and I must now add my hat to the ring. Last thing I expected to do with my schedule, but I feel so happy with the program and figured with everyone who is asking me what the heck I have done, I might as well make talking to them official. Well this week I am down two pounds again. Can't wait to see how everyone else has done. Have a GREAT week everyone ! Mytime

Good morning everyone!
Well, it's another cold and dark morning in Michigan! Great job Mytime! Who knows, I may become a health advisor at some point too! I'm definately not a salesperson, but the product sells itself!

I am down 8 lbs. this week!!!! That is a total of 40 lbs. in 6 weeks!!! Put me in the 40# club!!!! I'm lovin this people!!!!! This has been the easiest diet I have EVER been on!!!

Personally, what has worked for me is I prepared mentally for this. I did a lot of research on obesity, and found that doctors are FINALLY starting to think of obesity as a eating disorder like bulemia and anorexia. AMAZING isn't it? I found that doctors are prescribing anti depressants and getting pretty good results. Well, I'm here to tell you, my emotions were all over the place before starting anti depressants! I am one who crys when it rains, and it seemed after my DD was born 4 years ago, my emotions got worse. Plus, I'm in that perimenopause group (I'm 45). So, I went to my doctor back in July and she prescribed Effexor XR. She slowly titrated my dose, and I am taking 150 mg/day. I feel GREAT! Then I started researching diets, found Medifast, and the rest has been glorious!!!!!!! 40 lbs. in 6 weeks! I'm SOoooo excited!!!!

I know that we can do this! This group means so much to me! I feel such camaraderie, so bonded to all of you! We are so in this together! If I can help ANYONE, please know people, that I am here for all of you!

I feel so blessed to have found this group!
Take care and God Bless,
Judy <><

Goodmorning everyone! Hope you are all well and big losers this morning! I can't believe it, I actually woke up to SNOW on the ground. Not much at all, but, I knew something just didn't look quite right when I went past the window. It was still dark out so, I couldn't put my finger on it. Surprise!

Mytime, congratulations on becoming a health advisor! That's great. You've been very successful on this and I'm sure you will do wonderful sharing your knowledge, experience and support with others. Great job on the 2lbs this week!

Judy, how cow, 8lbs is amazing! You are moving right along! I couldn't agree with you more regarding the connection of depression and weight loss. Or, more precisely, low serotonin levels in the brain with a whole host of disorders such as depression, anxiety, obesity, etc. Antidepressants certainly are a good way for some people to get ahold of their lives and get everything under control. I'm glad you're having such success!

Well, this week was an even one for me. No loss, but, no gain and I'm happy about that. Now that I have found that I was making a huge mistake with the butter spray, hopefully my weight loss will pick back up again. I've been using that stuff since the beginning, just in smaller doses than what I was doing in the last week and a half or so. So, we'll see. I need to get rid of these last 22lbs already!!!!!

Have a great weight in everyone and a wonderful week!

Good morning ljm498! I posted to your butter spray post! I'm glad you posted that! A bottle of butter spray has been calling me from the refrigerator for a while! I will not answer it!!!!

Yes, you are right about the seratonin! I was literally drugging myself with food to keep my seratonin levels up!!!! It feels SOoooo amazing to be free from the demon of food!!!! The anti depressants are working wonders for me!!!!! Do I still fight my emotions and temptation? OF COURSE!!!!! But the medication helps me stop and think before I open my mouth and start shovelling in the food!!!!!!

Good luck to everyone!!!!! Have a fantabulous MF week!!!!!!!!

Good morning everyone.
You are all doing so good. :goteam:

I agree with you on the meds. I went back on mine ( alprazolam 0.5 ) a couple of days ago. I'm on a low dose. But it takes the edge off.

Start 8 weeks ago.
I'm now in the 20# club. :cheermed:
Started the Christmas challenge yesturday. Sounds like it is going to be fun.

Have a great day everyone.

Ok .....so....I am just posting.........so that I will be posting...... I started at 220.5....went to 214.2.......that is when I started this week..... today I am 215.8... but...I have a very unfortunate incident at the movie theater last night. I   have been craving salt like a madman  and have not been drinking enough water :toast: .....which btw...I am usually very good at. So I am not discouraged... ;) ;)

Pretty cold outside, so I am sipping on a chai latte...I love that stuff. Glad my child is in NYC or she would be sucking that down too!!

Oh I have the best story. I keep all my medigrub in a plastic bucket on top of the fridge....that way I don't have to go in cabinets looking for it..and wandering over to something that I should not be looking at. Anyway.....the other day my other child went out of town and took her friends some Halloween goodies....well I go to dig in my medibucket yesterday and there on top of it is a basketful of devil candy. HELLO???? People!! WORK WITH ME HERE!!!! What in the heck am I going to do with these people that I live with. ?????3000 square feet in this house...do ya think that maybe we can find another square to hide the candy in???? geeeeezzzzz!!!!!

Happy Sunday everyone.... :bravo: :bravo: Keep up the good work!!!

first time in weeks

Postby oregonrose » October 23rd, 2005, 11:30 am

Wow, I feel like I have to reintroduce myself! This is very hard to confess. I have been out of it for weeks. and it shows! I am up to 200lbs! I am not going to change my tickeer because I hope to be back on the road soon. Your successes are what will keep me motivated these first few days back on program. that first 25 were so easy it seemed-- probably not at the time. anyway, me and my own brand of antidepressants, (lexapro) are giving a 30 day committment to be totally on program-- with your support I can do it. Everyone I have met thru this has been so successul and friendly and helpful. Keep up the good work! I remain accountable to myself and you!

Well, yesterday I woke up to a 3 lb. loss but had to go to a wedding and probably because of the slightly modified lean & green I had at the wedding (I tried my best, took the stuffing out of the chicken, ate the green beans, left the potato and bread but of course it wasn't my "normal" lean & green, and I had ONE bite of the cake), I woke up this morning to only a 2 lb. loss for this week but that brings me to 27 lbs. and I'm thrilled !! I'm seeing numbers on the scale that I haven't seen since two pregnancies ago (in other words, 12 YEARS).

I love Medifast

Hi to all:

I really don't know if I have been missed, :idontknow: but my computer has been in the fix it shop... :hammer: so I haven't been posting for a few weeks. I have been "viewing the site" every now and then from a friends computer. Congratulations to all of you who have lost. Isn't MF wonderful??

I'm down a few pounds too. It seemed like I would never get off that plateau but Finally, Finally, Finally !!!!!!!!!!! :yay:

Anyway Unc, if you could move me to the 30 lb club I would love it!!!! Thanks!!! :hi5:
