Hello all.....well, I'm beginning to think I will never make it to the 30 pound club. I am happy to report a loss of 1 lb, so that's better than nothing.

So glad to hear of the success this week. I've got to get moving if I want to get out of this rut. It is beautiful weather here this afternoon in Texas, so I'm off for a walk with my son and dog.

(Yea!!! Packers finally won a game this season!!! Go Packers!!)

Have a great week!

Hello to everyone :)

I lost a few pounds this week. I'm down 4.5 lbs with a grand total of 9.5 lbs. The 10# club was so close! Leave it to me to be off by a half a pound!!! Sunuva!^%@!!!! I tried everything to make the scale budge so I'd be in the 10# club but at least I know it's within reach.

Oh well :) It's good enough. I had a goal of 5 lbs this week and I blew that, but I was close. down 4 is better than up anything or even staying the same so I'm happy Next week it's 5 pound down or I shave my head. ;)

Well, I weighed on Friday, down 7 pounds, not bad for my first week. From now on I am going to weigh in on Fridays, but post my loss on Sundays, it jsut helps me from the day I started. :exercise:

Today was the worst day so far ( this is day 9). I went to the movies to see Wallace and Gromit with my 8 year old........the overwhelming scent of popcorn..........but wait!!!!! I told myself before I went in that I would not cheat, that Iwould not deprive myself of movies with my son because I'm fat and need to lose weight. So, I didn't. Not one little piece. I was very proud of myself, but the urge for crunch gave in when I got home and I had 5 Low Fat Triscuits, plain, just how I like them. My friend says they are like dried grass.

I know I have cheated. :x I also know that Triscuits were the better choice to cheat on than a tub of buttered movie popcorn. My MF order is coming on Tuesday and this time around I ordered crackers so I'll be ready for the cracker callings. I hope it won't throw me off too much this week.

Looking forward to trying the chicken soups and spicing them up from all the great recipes I have read. :eat:

To everyone, have a great MF week, stay strong!!!!!! :weightlift:
Thanks for helping me through.......one shake at a time!!!!-Inga

I weigh in at 350 this week. Thought I got down to 349, but when I checked the scale (ten more times ) It wouldn't budge. I must say you are all such an inspiration, not only the ones who lost, but the ones who didn't lose and still had such a great attitude! You made my day! We can do this! MARK MY WORDS, I WILL MAKE IT BELOW 350 NEXT WEEK. I don't care if I have to bribe that scale..Just kiddin. (what do you think a scale would accept as a bribe anyway?) hehe.

Really this is the best I have felt in a long time and even though its about 3 pounds I lost this past week, it feels like 15!

Hi, Kids!

Just wanted you to know that I peeked in here tonight to see how everyone is doing. I have missed being online this week. I a really swamped and it is killing me to not be here every day, morning ‘til night.

Soccer_Mom, what kind of a woman are you to go to a popcorn theater so early in your program? You are a super hero! I didn't go to a movie until after a year and three months on the program....

Christi, what a snort you are! Saturday became Sunday, eh? You were up early for a Saturday morning but I beatcha…I was up at 3:30 AM PDT Saturday because someone from the EAST coast called me...I was totally asleep - finally, I might add...and my phone rang. I grabbed it, dropped it, answered and by the time I got my Bluetooth adjusted, the person HUNG UP! I pushed ‘redial’ and she answered right away and when I replied that I was sorry I had missed her a moment ago, she denied having called me...I made a jarful of French Vanilla Oatmeal, ate it and got back to sleep by 5 and ten had to get up soon…

Thanks for taking good care of one another. TamiL, I moved ya on up into the 10 Pound Club – yeah!

Tox, gotta love ya for not blowing up your scale. Lisa Renee – oooh, you are also so close! You probably could drop that last pound by getting a hair cut – you have gorgeous hair! I have fur envy…notice I have just a few little scrawny furs…my Momma is nearly a chrome dome and I suspect I am headed in that direction myself…

MyTime, I noticed that you crossed over and are now more than half way to home base!

Ash and Shortgirl ~ you’ll be there soon – we see you peeking in the door to the 30 pound Club - we’re making your name tags and we’re waiting for you to take your rightful places right in the front row!

Lauradr and Nicki ~ YIPPY! Between the two of you, that’s 40 cubes of butter melted away!!

Lan ~ your trip sounds wonderful! I suspect you’ll drop a few more pounds rather quickly – flying, the time changes and different meal schedules, the excitement of the trip and lack of sleep, the extra exercise, etc. all affect your body so look out- this is gonna be a great week for you!

LoriO ~ I’ll be watching for you – Leopard Woman has her good eye on you, Kiddo!

24 K is getting so close to her goal and so is Donna! Oh, wow! I am looking for Martha...prata...others!!

I figured if Christi could post on Saturday and pretend it was Sunday, I can post on Monday and pretend... well you get my drift. I don't remember what I weighed last week but my scale is reading 238, which puts me at a ninety pound loss - NEW CLUB PLEASE! 90 pounds is my Medifast loss; my high weight was 340, so I have now lost 102 pounds. The day I hit 100 pounds, I celebrated by going throught every closet and every bag of clothes that has been piling up around here for years. I had things hanging in the closet I wore 25 years ago, waiting for my return. Guess what, I waited too long. Not only are they too big, but with shoulder pads the size of pillows, I look like a linebacker in them. I have about three pairs of pants and 6 shirts left in the house; oh yeah, and one navy blue maternity jumper from my first pregnancy 26 years ago that looks pretty good on me.

Thank you to everyone who takes the time to post your stories here. Having the support of this Forum is what has kept me going, not only through slow times and stopped (plateau) times, but also through the really good times when I was feeling pretty puffed up with myself. I can remember when a bit of success in weight loss might have sent me scurrying to a Dunkin' Donuts for a celebration (and not for the coffee). What was I thinking  ?

I am on my way to goal and feeling blessed, thankful beyond measure, healthier than I have in 20 years, and just enjoying life immensely. God Bless Medifast, and love to all my friends here on the board, especially to you in the little MediCottage out on the west coast - Nancy, Terry & Unca Tim - who have provided this wonderful home for us losers.

Dear dear LuzInIt Linda ~

Oh, wow!! :sheepjump: :whoohoo: :bananadance:

What a great report!

navy blue maternity jumper from my first pregnancy 26 years ago that looks pretty good on me.

 What's this?

A Maternity jumper????

My fave emoticon, the little sheep jumper :sheepjump: wonders about you wearing THAT....you might give your husband and daughters a real scare if you wear a maternity jumper!

I am so happy for you - it gives me goose bumps and the shivs just thinking about your fantastic weight loss and I cannot wait to meet you in the THIN - in 13 days, Terry and I will be meeting LuzInIt Linda in the Baltimore area when we come back there to corporate headquarters for an important meeting.

If there are others in the area...we would enjoy meeting you, too. It will be on Sunday, October 23rd about 10 AM-ish. Our flight back to Portland, OR leaves at 5 PM and we need to be at the BWI airport no later than 2:30-3 PM.

 Weigh to go and to keep on going, LuzInIt!

You are right - this is a adventure - sometimes it is easy and then there are those :x killer weeks, too.

All in all, we will end up at the goal line if we do not give up. :bighug:

Thank you, sweet Nancy, for your enthusiasm for my success. I can't wait to meet you guys. I know someone else who plans to come, but since she hasn't chimed in, I won't tell you who it is 8) . Here's the thing... I'll look like a mountain if I pose for a picture between the two of you skinny little 130-140ish pounders, so I just might leave my camera home until the next time we meet, when I'm certain to be in your weight neighborhood thanks to Medifast!

I had an unexpected doctor appointment today for a five-day sore throat. The last time I was there was the beginning of March (100 pounds ago!). How much fun  , despite the strep & accompanying ear infection pain :( . The nurse shared lab results I had done last week (for my heart appointment next week). Without meds, my HG AIC is 5.2 (very good & perfectly normal) compared to my previous reading of 14 (off the charts and very, very bad - for you non-diabetics). Pre-Medifast, I was on shots & oral drugs). My bad cholesterol number, which should be below 100, was 42. I am still taking Lipitor, but she said she is positive my cardiologist will either halve it or eliminate it altogether. Aw... I am dreaming of a drug-free life.

It was funny, the first thing she said to me was "have you had weight-loss surgery" - I said no. Then she asked me if I had been ill. Again, I said no. When I told her about my Medifasting, her plump little self got awful interested. Gave her my business card, and told her to feel free to call me if she wanted to chat further.

Finally, regarding that maternity jumper - it's a size 12 and I just can't pitch it out yet. Especially since, at the beginning of 2005, I was a size 26. Of course, I absolutely loved it when one of the first questions the nurse asked me was if I might be pregnant  . At 55, I consider this a high compliment ;) .
