I used to make these all the time with rice.. I changed my recipe slightly to make it MF compliant..

1 small pkg lean ground meat
3 peppers, deseeded
1 pepper deseeded and chopped
1 pkg MF garden vegetable crackers, pulsed in food processor to make small crumbs
salt, pepper
2 shallots (or 1/4 small onion) finely chopped
small bit minced garlic
Dash of Worchestershire sauce (soy sauce would be ok too)
1/2 can tomatoes

-Mix everything together (with your hands of course.. squish it up good) except chopped pepper and 1/2 of the onion
-Stuff peppers
-In baking dish, put in tomatoes, chopped pepper, rest of onion, some salt & pepper and stir.. add stuffed peppers and bake 325 for an hour, loosely covered with tin foil + another 15mins or so without foil.

This is enough for 2 L&G, and note there is a snack mixed in.

Umm I just made these...minus the crackers.....

and ....

the canned tomatoes! I totally forgot to put them in there till they were in the oven.

I guess we will see how they turn out!

Sure... we believe that. Right after you finished telling us how you don't like tomatoes.... of course you "forgot" to put them in...

I like canned tomatoes believe it or not. Have tons in my pantry that I canned myself even. Just not a fan of the fresh.
