STARTING TOMORROW AND HAVE QUESTIONS

HELLO, I AM STARTING MF TOMORROW. VERY EXCITED!!! I NEED TO LOSE 53 LBS. I'M 5'3 AND WEIGHT IN AT 188 LBS!!! I HAVE SPENT THE PAST COUPLE WEEKS LOOKING OVER ALL THE DIFFERENT POSTS AND CAN'T WAIT ILL I CAN STAY I'VE LOST WEIGHT!!! I DO HAVE A COULPE QUESTIONS...

CAN YOU USE SPLENDA TO SWEETEN YOUR SUPPLEMENTS?

CAN YOU DRINK COFFEE W/ SUGAR FREE CREAMER?

I ALREADY WALK APPROX. 4-5 TIMES A WEEK, ABOUT 2 MILES A DAY...SHOULD I NOT DO THAT UNTILL I START LOSING?

TO GET THE BEST RESULTS, SHOULD I DO THE FULL-FAST STARTING OFF AND THEN TRANSITION INTO THE 5-1 PLAN?

AND ADVICE WOULD BE SO APPRECIATED!!!

The recommendations are to stop or severely limit your exercise for the first 3 weeks on plan - then you can start again - but watch your intensity and if you stop losing, scale back or add in another supplement.

And go ahead with the 5/1 - the numbers aren't much different in terms of loss, and it makes transition easier (or so I've read).

Hi and welcome! :wave: You'll do great, you WILL lose as long as you stick to the plan. :)

Is there a reason you type in all capital letters? Just curious, on the internet that is seen as "yelling", in case you didn't know. ;)

Hi there,
Splenda is fine!! As to the exercise .. cut it down by about half. I don't want you to force your body into starvation mode... If we cut your calories and you do too much exercise your body will rebel :x :x and refuse to part with anything. That makes us all grumpy!!! After about three weeks you can up your exercise to about 45 minutes. That's about all the extra calories you're going to have.
I haven't noticed much if any difference in weight loss between people who do the complete 6/0 program ( must be done under a Dr.s supervision) or people who use the 5/1. I myself lost all my weight with the 5/1. We'll be watching for you. The forum here is a great way to keep yourself accountable.

I had no idea using all caps meant I was yelling...I just really suck at typing and it's just easier to put caps on...now I know :D

Welcome aboard Suzanne. Today is day 1 for me again. I had started this past December and it went great the first month, then life sort of got in the way. I am so glad to be back. The folks here are top notch! :D

I received a PM from Suzanne a couple days ago. She was returning her MF kit/supplies as the foods didn't agree with her (she felt ill while on the program) and has decided that she will just go with healthy foods and exercise. She said she had lost weight that way in the past so felt it was the best way for her to go. She said she appreciated the support and encouragement that was offered to her on this forum.

I hope she does well and reaches her goal. :)
