Skin rash?

Postby fuelman » April 3rd, 2006, 7:31 pm

Hey everybody!
I have developed a rash. It's red and a little itchy but not to itchy.
I have it on my torso, arms, and legs. The worst area is at the edge of my arm-pits, I have searched this topic and was wondering about it. I see that benadril, "pardon my spelling" can be used to remedy this, true? :idontknow:

From the official Medifast FAQ on their website:

Skin rashes?
Some people develop a mild skin rash on their chest, neck or face during the early weeks on Medifast. Most skin rashes seem to be related to the high-protein balance of the program, and they disappear within a week or two. If a rash itches or feels uncomfortable, ask your doctor about taking an antihistamine such as Benadryl® to control the symptoms. You can also apply a cortisone cream to the rash to speed healing.

I have been on medifast for almost 4 weeks and I have been itchy for the past 3 days. Do you know if this will go away? I really do not want to stop taking the medifast. I don't have hives just itchy skin.
I look forward to your reply,
