Hey Oksoonergirl26..
Glad you could stop by and let us know you're around...Sure hope that the counseling and other relationship issues work out. I can undertstand about "rocky" times with husbands..My hubby and I have never been as far apart, as we are now. He just can't get beyond the fact that he's unemployed...So that puts a damper on everything, even intimacy...

Here is a hug and know that you wil have a great day, no matter what !!

Hey girls (and our lone guy)-it's been a bad bad couple of weeks for me. I have been completely off plan and I have gained three pounds-it is that simple to fall back into bad habits and the scale definitely showed it. In addition to eating badly I stopped exercising (only 2 times in one week and only 2 times this week while consuming...well way too many calories) and that is what did it. I go to the counselor today and I know it won't be an overnight or immediate cure, but hopefully something will click and get me out of this funk and emotional eating. I am, despite my lack of training, going to head out and run my other half-marathon on Sunday. I did 5K this past week and registered my fastest time, but it wasn't what I wanted. However, I only have myself to blame for not training properly. My appetite has been really really out of control. I have resolved to severly limit my Splenda intake/diet soda intake. I realize that when I started drinking more artifically sweetened drinks is when the cravings kicked-unfortunately it also coincided with the training for the first half-marathon, so I just don't know. It's easy to blame the cravings on bad eating than exercising too much. Sorry I have been absent and unsupportive.I will be better!

there is definitely no need to apologize. When you are experiencing things in your real life and can't support us, that is our time to support you. I hope all works out. I am praying for you and your family. Good luck in the half-marathon. Just know that we are all cheering you on in all aspects. :stroll:

Hey girly,

Thinking of you, Also just wanted to say even though you are not on program you are still exercising which is awesome. I personally think sometimes our bodies just need a rest.

Hope to see you soon.

Thanks so much for the kind words and unconditional support! I did another half marathon yesterday in the pouring rain. I haven't done a long run in almost a month so I my goal time was 2:45. I did it in 2:26 which was only two minutes off the Austin time, in sunny weather with training. I was really proud of myself-not something I experience very often. I ran this one by myself and my husband got there too late to see me cross the finish line. I was sort of mad at first, but then I realized that I was proud of myself and not having him there was okay, because it meant I was doing this for me, not him. I mean it was POURING and at one point I was jumping in the puddles laughing hysterically so I wouldn't cry. It rained on me from mile 4 to mile 12 and it was about 52 degrees. It could have been worse, it could have been colder.

WTG girlie! I am proud of you too! I'm glad you were able to look at the positive side of things (that you were doing it for yourself). I'm laughing picturing you jumping in the puddles. We do WHATEVER it takes to get us through and that's a GREAT ability to have.

Holy Cow,

You are marathon Queen. I can not believe you ran in the rain for 8 miles. I think it is pretty amazing that you are doing half marathons. I wish I could just run. But I am still overweight and I just need to walk right now.

You are so rocking the exercising program, keep it up :D
