New Years Resolution?

Postby explorthis » December 1st, 2003, 1:45 pm

Me a resolution? I have made 100 in my life. Have never stuck to any of them. Obviously this is a "weight related question, or poll", since we are posting on the "loose fat" board.

I have never had the resolve, or drive to ever stick with a resolution. I have made weight ones, not less than a gazillion times, better parenting ones, better spousal ones, though after about January 2, they seem to be forgotten.

I always have good intentions when making the resolution, but never actually stick with them. This must be a personal failure (by choice) so I opt NOT to make any.

Since it has basically been 85 days ago since I began this new life style program, (Medifast) this is not a new resolution for me. I have already made the commitment to change my life FOREVER. I have seen way too much progress to ever go back to the old way.

Resolutions

Postby Nancy » December 2nd, 2003, 12:06 am

Aha! You ARE out there, Mike!

I've missed you.

I was wondering how long it would take for folks to assume I was referring to weight loss related New Year's resolutions. Yup, this is a fat and weight loss support forum but I am actually just curious about our forum readers out there in Cyberland.

I am working on this month’s newsletter….

My resolution for this year was to keep my thoughts to myself & keep my pie hole shut! So far I think I've been pretty good, in the past I have dug myself in a pretty big hole by giving opinions on a subject or by passing on gossip. Losing weight, exercising more & quitting smoking were all worthless resolutions. For 2004, I think my one will be to cook more at home (we eat out a lot, or we used to until momma went on Medifast!) When we eat out now, its a salad and maybe soup or an appetizer for me. But I am still going to try to keep my pie hole shut!
