Welcome to the New Year!

All that hard work and now what? Let's talk about how to keep those pounds off...

Welcome to the New Year!

Postby Lauren » January 5th, 2010, 11:41 am

Hello, all! Wow, 2010, huh?

I can't believe I started MF in 2005 and now we're in 2010. That just seems insane to me! It does make me really happy because they say that every year you achieve in maintenance increases your odds of future success - so while it is often a struggle, I know that I am still increasing the spread of time between my days of fat from my days of fit. I like that feeling, and it helps me keep going.

I just got back from a great vacation with my boyfriend and my family in Mexico...lots of fun in the sun! I am STILL amazed at how much easier it is to travel since I lost the weight. My feet don't hurt walking through the airport, I fit into the seats with ease, the flights are more comfortable, and the suitcase is lighter! I generally feel good when I get off the plane - which is a far cry from how I used to feel! I make it a point to still relish in these positive changes, it keeps me from becoming complacent.

I look forward to another year of good health and fitness and maintenance, and wish all of you TONS of success and confidence and wellness and enthusiasm!!

Cheers,

Lauren

I love seeing updates from you! I, also, love that you are such a long term maintainer (is that a word? I don't care if it isn't...I'm going to use it anyway, ). Your posts always make my day seem a little bit brighter. :)
