If I forget to say it tonight, good luck at the doc's tomorrow! I know it'll turn out GREAT!

I am excited to meet you too. It will be nice to talk to someone about MF that has a clue.

I just had to journal about what a great time I had last evening with Dede. She is a lot of fun to talk to. Wish there were more MF'ers in the area.

I had a boatload of blood work done on me today. The first time since starting MF. Every test result came back normal. YEAH I AM NORMAL!! My cholesteral is 154. For me that is great as I was always over 200. My potasiam & thyroid were normal too. For my dizziness they suggested I just drink more water. I admit that I dont drink anywhere near 64 oz a day. So I am making it top priority to drink water. I got a little chart I am crossing off my glasses so I know.

So I can continue on my weight loss journey until I reach goal although I think MF will always be apart of my life.

Feel great today otherwise. :cleader: :cheermed: :cheermed: :cleader:

Another GREAT Medifast day. Down another pound to 163.2 this morning. :whoohoo:

I am back in the Medizone after my off program weekend. Feeling good, weight is coming off again and I feel recharged. I am determined to reach my goal before summer is over. Hopefully before school starts in Sept.

I am working on a transition plan for me to follow. I want to have it ready for when I start. I'll share my plan and see if it is doable later in my journal. I am getting excited already to starting transition. I feel I am ready to handle food again. I am sure I will always have MF around for a meal here and there to help keep me healthy. I feel like Medifast is my friend and will help me when I need it.

OH, LORI,
I will look for your transition plan in your journal. I am reading, reading, reading to learn what to do when I reach goal.
Several events are coming in the next month or so and I do want to be prepared!
On none of my other 'diets' have I planned for transition and maintenance. That is why I know this will work!
You have done so wonderful and I am very proud of you! Exciting, isn't it?

Well the lovely scale said 162.6 this morning so that is another pound gone. I am very happy about that but it means maintence is only 12 lbs away. So I have been thinking about a transition plan. I am not sure how good it is. I tried to follow the plan listed in the quick start book.
Here Is My Transition Plan:

Days 1 - 4: NEED TO ADD 1 ADDITIONAL CUP OF VEGGIES

Breakfast: Oatmeal/Shake/Hot Cocoa
Mid Morning: Shake/Hot Cocoa
Lunch: Chicken Noodle Soup & 1 cup lettuce w Walden Farms Dressing
Mid Afternoon: Bar
Dinner: 7 oz Chicken Breast w 1 1/2 cup green Beens
Evening: Hot Cocoa/Pudding

Alternative Dinners:
Salad with Cucumbers, sprouts, Walden Farms Dressing, & 7 oz chicken Breast
Egg Beaters w sprinkle of low fat mozzerella cheese & green beens
4 oz very lean beef w 1 oz mozzerella cheese wrapped in lettuce w green beens
4 oz ground Turkey breast w 1 oz mozzerella cheese wrapped in lettuce w green beens

Days 5 - 8: NEED TO ADD 1 ADDITIONAL CUP VEGGIES AND 1 CUP FRUIT

Breakfast: Oatmeal/Hot Cocoa/Shake
Mid Morning: Hot Cocoa/Pudding
Lunch: Chicken Noodle Soup & 1 cup lettuce w Walden Farms Dressing or Celeries & onions & peppers in soup
Mid Afternoon: Bar
Dinner: Same as meals listed above
Evening: 1 cup strawberries w splenda

Days 9 - 12: NEED TO ADD 1 ADDITIONAL CUP VEGGIES, 1 CUP FRUIT, & 1/2 CUP DAIRY

Breafast: Oatmeal w skim milk & few apple slices
Mid Morning: Hot Cocoa/Pudding/Shake
Lunch: Same as 5 - 8 days
Mid Afternoon: Bar
Dinner: same as above but with 1/3 cup cottage cheese or extra cheese on something for dairy
Evening: 3/4 cup strawberries or rest of apple

Days 13 - 16: NEED TO ADD 1 SERVING GRAIN, 1 CUP FRUIT, 1/2 DAIRY, 2 L&G MEALS & 3 MF MEALS

Breakfast: Egg Beaters w onions & peppers
Mid Morning: Hot Cocoa
Lunch: Chicken Noodle Soup w MF Crackers
Mid Afternoon: Bar
Dinner: See above dinners 4 L & G
Evening: Strawberries/apple/banana

Alternative Breakfast:
1/2 cup cereal w 1/2 cup skim milk
MF oatmeal w toast - switch L&G meal with lunch

Alternative Dinners:
6 oz Chicken wth green beans & small potato w ff sour cream (no toast or cereal on potato days)

This is a sample transition - I am not sure if it is all 100% ok. Hopefully someone can give me there 2 cents.

After day 16 I plan on sticking to at least 2 MF meals but might do 3.

I would like to know how many carbs/fat/protein etc I should eat a day to maintain my weight. I know they say 1500 calories but it doesnt say anything else on the other values. Anyone know?

LORI,

Thank you for the Transistion Plan. GOOD JOB!
I printed it to keep with my other stuff about transition and maintenance.
Every thing we can learn will be a big help to us.

We both have such a short way to go and we can put this all to work! Can't wait!
Planning will be the key just as it was during our weight loss.

You are doing great, girl. Wonderful to have you on this exciting journey with me!
Congratulations!

Well I am going off plan Sat and Sun. Me and hubby planned for months to go to the Fair. We are going to see Poison in concert. (CAN'T WAIT). I am an 80's girl. Then on Sun is my daughters 8th birthday party.

I am not giving myself permission to eat everything in site. I will eat sensibly and avoid deserts (including birthday cake). I have been off plan a few times and have never gained any weight. I get right back on plan and usually have a really good losing week. So the 150's will have to wait a bit. I think by next weeks weigh in I will be there. I will probably avoid this Sundays weigh in unless I happen to lose from last Sun. I doubt it.

Otherwise it has been a great week on MF.

Lori,

I just finished reading your journey and you should be so proud of yourself!! You have done FANTASTIC. You and I started around the same weight... I started at 212 and 5 ft 4-1/2 in. 50 pounds makes a huge difference but heck so did 10, 20, 30, and 40 pounds!!

While reading through your journal, I saw a lot of me, especially on the "cheats". I'm not sure if it's because we are getting so close to goal and we are anxious or what. I've been doing the program every day, but some days (definitely not all), I slip and have an "unplanned" cheat. Yeah, sometimes I gain, but I always get right back on the program. I kinda wonder if it's because I'm getting "comfortable" but not too comfortable to stop - I'm too darn close to my goal.

Keep up the great work - you are adorable!!

Smarti

p.s. I wish I could meet you and Dede for a L&G sometime

Thanks smartipantz for the nice words. I do think I am getting really comfortable and have been having planned "cheats" more and more on the weekends. But with every planned cheat I have gotten right back to doing Medifast with no problems.

I am disgusted with this weekends planned cheat. According to the scale I gained 7 lbs Sat and Sun. I know that is not possibe. There is no way I ate that much food as I was careful. I even did a huge amount of walking as I was at a fair. I did not drink much water though. So today I am back to doing the program and drinking plenty of water. We will see what the scale says tommorrow.

So here is to another week of Medifasting :toast:
