Hmmmm...

I am not much of a writer. But here it goes. I just turned 33 and have been obese for about 13 years. Gain the weight after I started dating my husband. Shame on him for taking me out to eat all the time. ;) I have 3 kids with my youngest being 12 months old. I ended up having Gestational Diabetes with him. I had to do insulin shots. The specialist told me that if I don't lose weight after he is born I have a 80% chance of getting Diabetes in the next 10 years as it runs in our family. Well a few months ago my dad was diagnosed with Diabetes and now my chance is 100% to get it too in the next 10 years. So that was motivation enough to get healthy once and for all. I have 3 small children to think about now. I am doing this for them as well as myself.

The journey so far has been pretty easy for me. I guess I was finally at the point were I had had enough. I was so ready. I do have bad cravings when TOM is near but I control them. I may have an extra SF jello if I feel I must eat something sweet.

So far I have gone from a size 22W pant to a size MISSES 16 but can fit in some 14's. This makes me extremely happy. I feel great and have loads of energy. My family has been through 2 colds since I started and I have not. Is it the MF I don't know. I think it is because with this diet I am getting the right nutrition. My body was so deprived before. It is rejoicing being feed so great that it keeps the scale dropping.

Here is a log of my weight loss so far. I weigh in on Tuesdays for this log.

My Weight Loss:

Week 1 = 2/28 - 3/7 -6lbs WT: 218 BMI: 37.4
Week 2 = 3/7 - 3/14 -4lbs WT: 212 BMI; 36.4
Week 3 = 3/14 - 3/21 -4lbs WT: 208 BMI: 35.7
Week 4 = 3/21 - 3/28 -3lbs WT: 204 BMI: 35
Week 5 = 3/28 - 4/4 -4lbs WT: 201 BMI: 34.5
Week 6 = 4/4 - 4/11 -3lbs WT: 197 BMI: 33.8
Week 7 = 4/11 - 4/18 -2lbs WT: 194 BMI: 33.3
Week 8 = 4/18 - 4/25 -3lbs WT: 192 BMI: 32.9
Week 9 = 4/25 - 5/2 -3lbs WT: 189 BMI: 32.4
Week 10 = 5/2 - 5/9 -2lbs WT: 186 BMI: 31.9
Week 11 = 5/9 - 5/16 -3lbs WT: 184 BMI: 31.6
Week 12 = 5/16 - 5/23 -2lbs WT: 181 BMI: 31
Week 13 = 5/23 - 5/30 -1lbs WT: 179 BMI: 30.7
Week 14 = 5/30 - 6/6 -3lbs WT: 176 BMI: 30.2

Thats it for now.

Well today is a great day for me. I am now 45lbs lighter then I was only 15 weeks ago. I didn't expect to lose much weight as TOM is visiting but I am so excited that the weight still seems to fly right off.

I am going this weekend to my Aunt's & Uncle's 30 wedding anniversary party in MI. It will be the first time that side of the family has seen the "new" me. I am very excited about that and I am going to go buy myself something nice to wear.

Till next time.

Week 15 6/6 - 6/13 -3 WT: 173 BMI: 29.7

Updated my weekly log.

I didn't gain any weight for TOM. What a pleasant surprise. Still weighed in at 173 so that is great news for me. Of course I want to eat everything in sight. Did have a extra cup of SF Jello yesterday. Helped and kept me from the "bad" food.

Good note: I went shopping yesterday and fit in all size 14 misses pants and shorts. BA BYE 16'S!!!

Another day on MF. I've been without my Hot Cocoa for 3 days now. It is my favorite and I drink it usually twice or more a day. My 3 orders all are coming on Friday when I will be out of town. I am upset about that because I ordered onel of the shipments to be shipped faster and it still shipped out the same day as the others and will come on the same day. WHAT A WASTE OF MONEY. :(

My girls 6 & 7 started their summer vacation today and about 10 min after we all got up they were already driving me nuts. :hammerhead:

So lets hope I can not let too much bother me. I believe I am strong enough now not to turn to food.

On a fantastic note: My 12 (13 on Friday) month old son took his first steps last night and is crusing around today. :D Out of the three kids he is the slowest walker but that is ok as they grow up too fast.

Till another day...

Well I am back from my trip to MI to see a bunch of family. Most have not seen me since my weight loss. It was a fantastic few days. It is funny how you never get sick of hearing "YOU LOOK GREAT" OR "WOW YOU LOST A LOT OF WEIGHT". What a great feeling.

Well I also went off plan Friday and Saturday for the trip. The first time I did that or "cheated" since starting. I think I did wonderful. I still lost weight since leaving and I know I made smart choices. I stayed away from the chips, breads, and sweets. I also drank a boat load of water.

So today I am back on plan and losing the rest of the weigh.

Another week down...

Week 16 6/13 - 6/20 -2 WT: 171 BMI: 29.3

Doing well on the weight loss. Have not hit a plateau yet which makes me very happy. I am feeling more confident doing everything now. I don't want to hide in the corner anymore.

I am still finding it really easy to be on the program even after 16 weeks. I am not bored with the food although I have found I go through fazes where I like a certain supplement for a long time then just like that I dont like it anymore. I just move along to the new supplement I like. Right now it is the Hot Cocoa.

I want to be at my goal by the end of summer and I think that is very doable. All my family is so happy for me and they cant believe I was as heavy as I was.

Thats it for today

Another pound gone this morning. 170..... Wow, I cant even remember when I last seen that number. I know its been more then 12 years as I was heavier then that when I got married. The thought of me being just .9lbs ;) away from being in the 160's makes me so happy. I can not explain the joy I feel. I am so happy this program worked for me. I am just 2 small pounds away from having lost 50 lbs. Wow is all I can say.

I still have not started any exercise. I do take care of my 3 kids with the youngest at 13 months so I do a lot of lifting and carrying. I do go for walks with the stroller and bike rides with me pulling him in one of those hut things that is the back of my bike. So I consider that my exercise. Close enough for me.

Well hopefully my next entry here will be a new club and a new weight range.

160's HERE I COME!!!!

Lori

Oh yeah, I have been thinking of lowering my goal to 145lbs so I can technically be in the healthy BMI range. 150 is still considered overweight for my height. We will see.

Another good day so far. My kids are not driving me too nuts. My son is getting better and better at walking. Still a lot of bumps and bruises though.

Was pretty disgusted at lunch time. I made chicken noodle soup and found 2 bugs in it. Of course they were some sort of furry looking thing. BLAH. I only took about 4 spoonfuls of broth before I saw them. Still grosses me out and I am not sure if I will be able to eat it tomorrow. Maybe after a search of the mix. Anyway I dumped it and made a hot cocoa.

Well I bought something to reward myself for my weight loss so far. I got an Apple 60 GB Video iPod. It is being delivered tomorrow and cant wait to sit and edit my over 1500 mp3 songs I have. That will take some time.

Guess that is it today....

Today is a GREAT DAY! Weight wise that is. I hit the 160's this morning. I weighed in at 169.8. WOO HOO!!!

I can't tell you how excited that makes me. I think I was probably 19 or 20 when I last weighed that. My husband is now in awe of the numbers. I tell him I lost another pound and that makes 49lbs since I started. That is amazing he tells me. I think he thought this would just be another one of my failed diets I started. He seems to be very proud of me.

Wow, 49 lbs, my 6 year old daughter weighs in at 45 and I lost more then that. I can barely lift her. I once had that much weight on my body. My poor body. Now I know why it hurt me so much.

Anyway I will very soon hit the milestone of 50 lbs loss. Maybe even tommorrow. I have less then a pound to lose. What a great day that will be too.

Till tommorrow my official weigh in day....

I dropped .2 more pounds today.

Tomorrow I will get up and go to the bathroom, make sure I am in my birthday suit without my glasses on & I weigh myself. I just gotta lose .7 lbs to get to that 50 lbs mark.
