Light weights? Body Dome?

Postby nickieluv » May 21st, 2007, 2:25 pm

Hi -

I'm feeling the urge to exercise more and more often lately, but I'm not really into aerobic exercise. I was wondering if light weight training would be OK on the 5/1?

I'm thinking just biceps, triceps, chest and back. Very simple, more reps with lighter weight (I guess that makes it kind of aerobic in a way, right?). Maybe some ab work. I was thinking about getting a Body Dome, which is half a stability ball, and you stand on it and balancing is supposed to work your ab muscles while you do whatever else you're doing on it. It has handles with resistance cords, too.

I know I should be walking as well, but is it OK to do some weight training even if I'm not walking?

I know that so far walking and pilates helps me a lot! It takes away hunger, it makes me feel good, I say GO FOR IT! Listen to your body, you'll know how far to push it!
